The sun was beginning to get lower in the cloudy sky, and while many patients in the town were just beginning to truly savor the small taste of freedom, nurses and orderlies were already rounding up their charges and having them march back to the buses. Even if the patients could have hidden and stayed, the shops wouldn't have been open for long; business owners were sweeping their collective front steps and heading over to turn their signs from OPEN to CLOSED in a ritual that they repeated every day.

Of course, there was only one day of the week that the patients of Landel's Institute got to enjoy the routines of the townspeople, and right now was the end of it. The nurses tried to console despondent or grumpy patients with promises of a next time, but to everyone who knew the true nature of the asylum, the sounds of the buses opening their doors and revving up their engines might have just as well been the tolls of a very ominous bell.

They could only hope that the same set of events from last time didn't repeat itself...

[ OOC: Same drill as before: Three posts for the three different buses. You can put your character in whichever one you like, but please try to keep the amount of people in each one equal. Thanks! ]

Sai leaned his head woozily against the cool glass of the bus window. Helping out his fellow ninja had been a failed effort thus far, and he didn't have any idea how Naruto had been able to put up with that friend of his for so long. If he was asked to lead Sasuke around in the future, unless they came to terms with their differences before then, he would have to turn the task down.

It was probably a good thing he hadn't eaten in town. The movement of the bus combined with his sedation would most likely make him sick to his stomach if he had. He wasn't sure how he was going to explain the situation to Naruto if he had to.

He had a wet paper towel for his black eye that'd had a couple ice cubes in it before they'd melted. (His "violent behavior" meant they weren't willing to leave him with a bag of ice - something that could be potentially used as a blunt weapon.) It was sitting in his lap now, though, for what little good it was doing him.

Not the best of days.

[for Honey-chan (sorry, Team Naruto, I forgot)]

Nny was beginning to suspect that he wasn't dreaming. Interestingly enough, it wasn't the length of his stay that was starting to convince him. It was his goddamn headache. You didn't get headaches in dreams, you just didn't. Not unless you'd been drinking the night before, which he hadn't experienced in, well, a really long time (and that was it's own sort of hell). He had to be awake to feel this shitty.

He didn't even go into town with the rest of the patients. He got off the bus, stood around for a few minutes, said "fuck this", turned around, and ran back into one of the other buses. Luckily for him, the nurses had been understanding once he brought up how he felt. They even refrained from bugging him while he desperately tried to wish his existence away. He spent most of the day with his head glued to the back of the seat in front of him, not quite aware, but refusing to fall back asleep.

All in all, his day had gone from okay, to completely horrid.

[Renamon, I think?]

Armand wearily climbed the steps of the bus. He was less tired than cold, but it made his limbs ache. He hoped they'd actually make it back to the Institute before dark this time. He hadn't seen either Citan or Morrison in town, so he kept an eye out for either one climbing back  into the bus. He still wondered if Morrison had been able to rest today instead of coming to town. Other than a lunch that he hadn't liked and meeting a new face or two, he wasn't sure at all what he'd gained by the day. Oh well, he was more than used to disappointment and failure.

[waiting for Citan if Fey is backish]
