DAY 26: Men's Showers (Second Shift)
Gluttony didn't want to leave his Lust, not after he'd just found her! But the mean tasty nurses said he had to. "You can't join her in the women's showers" was a bad excuse. He didn't like the mean tasty nurses. Maybe Lust would let him eat them later. Still, he knew he would see his Lust again, and that was good. He liked Lust. She was good and beautiful and smart and kind. Why did they have to take him away from his Lust?
Still, he would see her again. And she would tell him it was okay to eat the tasty nurses, and that would be good. His new friend liked eating people, too. That made him happy to find a friend who shared a love for eating people. Today was a very good day.
As he entered the showers, he stood under a shower head and opened his mouth wide to drink up the water. It wasn't as good as eating people, or eating waffles that didn't scream when he bit into them so weren't nearly as good as eating people, but it was still swallowing something, and that made him feel better.

Instead he was merely thoughtful as he studied the other man's face for a moment.
"I am to take it your plan succeeded?"
no subject
He had other interesting effects of the virus as well, the enhanced senses, the strength and speed, but he wasn't in any hurry to tell William everything.
no subject
Whether Wesker was in possession of them was the question though, the virus had been altered afterall. Yet by the sounds of it, the other man must have gained something to survive a Tyrant.
"How long have you been here?"
no subject
"They conduct experiments on the patients at night, and brainwash them on other nights to turn them against the rest of us. Last night they would have had experiments, so tonight people will be taken and brainwashed."
no subject
Not if he had anything to do with it, anywayIf they were conducting experiments, they had to have the chemicals and the equipment. If they had the supplies, they had to have somewhere to keep said supplies (unless they were far more unorganized than they let on). In any case, they had what William wanted and he'd be damned before he let it out of his sights.
"Is there any particular reason for this?" To break them? To terrorize them? Or perhaps the man behind it all was simply insane. "Would you happen to have any ideas as to where this brainwashing happens?"
no subject

"Ah, yes, I heard him last night," William chuckled at the memory. His roommate was bothersome, but it was endlessly amusing to watch him panic. "I believe he enjoys his riddles far too much."
no subject
"She has only the regenerative ability, and none of the other enhancements brought about by the virus."
no subject
"Do I know the lucky lady or did you decide to adopt?" The last part caught William's attention more than anything. "Regenerative? Was she experimented on or is this a natural ability?"
no subject
This was quite honestly one of the last things he ever expected to be telling William.
no subject
"If you didn't want to talk about it you could have just said so." Before Wesker could even think about protesting the doctor added, "You need not worry, I have never been interested in family matters."
And this was true, well, beyond his own anyway. But that was a completely different story. Whether this girl was really Wesker's daughter held none of William's interest in the least. There were much more important things to ponder over.
no subject
"At least try to be nice with her, don't mention anything incriminating, and no experimenting on her, William. She's mine... speaking of daughters, though, I've taken care of yours since you died," Although William hadn't asked about her, and honestly he had to wonder if he'd even thought about the girl since arriving.
no subject
Really, William was just amused. Wesker and annoyance was always entertaining when there wasn't much to do. The doctor's amusement was quick to fade though at the topic of his own daughter. William flashed the other man a sharp look, clearly displeased with the news.
"...What?"
no subject
"She doesn't have the virus. I, however, managed to take a sample of it from your corpse."
no subject
"Annette was still in the Research Facility when she died." It was more of a statement than a question. He should have known better than to believe that fool of a woman would actually leave! "What was she doing there?"
Stepping back into the watter, the doctor ducked his head, allowing the soap to be rinsed from his hair. "And how did these people come to meet Sherry?"
It was very easy to see that if there was any kind and loving god, they would avoid bringing Annette to Landel's for fear of what William might do.
no subject
She wasn't particularly talented, or particularly smart. She didn't have very good common sense either, but she was dedicated. And certainly quite loyal to William.
no subject
"I see." All too well, unfortunately. "And Sherry was where when you last saw her?"
no subject
"Don't worry about her, William."
no subject
Now to more important topics, before he developed a headache just from thinking about Annette right now.
"Exactly how did each of us arrive here?"
no subject
no subject
"Whoever is behind all of this is very skilled, I must say."

The other inmates wouldn't have to suffer the mind games if this kept him busy, that was for certain.
"There are more people with enhanced abilities? Not just your daughter?"
