Day 69: Sun Room

[From here]

Korra wandered into the Sun Room while rubbing her hair dry with a small towel. The shower had been nice, at least. She had wanted her nurse to take her outside, but apparently there would be none of that for the moment. The "adults" were out there. What were they doing that they couldn't let her go outside, too?? She wasn't used to this, being cooped up. It reminded her of her time in the sewers.

She flopped down onto one of the couches, keeping an eye out for someone to chat up. Sure, her social skills weren't exactly 'honed,' yet, but that didn't mean she didn't want to talk to people. There wasn't anything else to do here, anyway.

That worked well enough for him. Kyousuke nodded, and moved to indicated couch, settling himself in carefully to make sure he didn't aggravate his chest wounds. From there, he paused, considering where to start. He was familiar with most of what had caused the situation from that night: brainwashing, and people being put into other bodies. The latter was something he doubted he'd ever understand properly, so it would probably be best just to not go there. The brainwashing, on the other hand, he did have some questions about, but it seemed like poking needles where they didn't belong. ... Then again, moat things here were like that.

"...Do you remember anything about what they did that night?" he asked carefully after a pause. Maybe he could get some information, but if not, he wouldn't press it.

So the boy did have questions. Zero considered his answer for a few moments, trying his best to recollect the events from that particular night. It had been a few days since then, and his active mental avoidance of the subject hadn't helped his long-term memory at all. Still, there were a few certain details that had not left him. (...Perhaps they would never leave him.)

"Not very much," he answered honestly. "It's all a fog. I know that they dragged me from my room after dinner and took me...somewhere." He paused, brow furrowed in thought. "...I think I was tied down, and I heard some drill-like sound. But beyond that, I don't know." The morbidly curious side of him wished he knew. It was all too vague, and between his 'kidnapping' and his time in the Recreational Field there was simply nothing. If he knew what had happened exactly, then he might know where Landel was keeping his Reploid body, among other vital clues...

But of course, that would be too easy, wouldn't it...
