Night 66: Main Hallway, 1-West
[From here.]
That hadn't taken long. So much so that it looked like he was the first person to make it this far. Harvey took a moment to scan the hall with his flashlight, including near the stairs, but he didn't see (or hear) much of anything. It was the sort of thing that set him on edge.
Since he couldn't do much else, he leaned himself against the wall by the stairs and then grabbed for his gun, holding it near his side as he waited. Normally he didn't take the weapon out unless he planned to shoot it, but when there was a possibility that some transformed patient might come barreling down the halls in the next few seconds, he wanted to take precaution.
Hopefully Scott and Sangamon would haul ass over here before all hell started to break loose. If things got too hairy, Harvey was ready to make a run for it on his own. That was the logical thing to do.

Here was the main hallway already, and the sun room was just a little ways down. He glanced around the hall but didn't see that many girls at all - none in this first area close to the stairs up to the next floor, anyway. There were people gathering by the sun room doors as well, however, and with any luck one of them would be who he was looking for.
Or he'd end up standing there awkwardly for a while, which was the more likely result.
> Karkat: Find the girl.

At least his room wasn't too far. He wouldn't be bound to get lost as easily.
"It's just over here down one of these halls. Nothing special. You could have found it on your own." Probably. He'd admit that it would be easy enough to get lost in these hallways even if everything seemed fairly straightforward. All the halls with the patient rooms looked pretty much identical.

Now that he was paying attention, though, it looked like they were basically heading back the way that Lloyd had come. Too soon to tell if that wouldn't change, but if he was guessing right, they should be turning into the next hall on their right just up ahead.
He glanced at Inoue, just as unconvinced as Karkat that she was as well as she said she was. Something about her quick defensive response made her reassurance feel like something Colette would say when she didn't want to worry her friends. He'll definitely hover a little closer to her, ready to catch her if she stumbles again.
"Just let us know if you need to rest, Inoue," he murmured. "Don't push yourself if you're too tired."

Well, a little added security always helped, right? And what if there had been obstacles in the middle of the hall? Hurdles to jump over? Barrels to dodge roll around? Better safe than sorry.
Lloyd-san turned to face her, close, and Orihime withdrew her arms, taking a step away from the wall once again. Smiling, she laughed, and said, "Eh-heh, I'm honestly okay! You worry too much, really... If I'm really tired, then I'll be sure to lay down, so it won't be a problem." Yes, taking a nap in the middle of the hallway. Genius. "Too bad I didn't bring a pillow, huh..."
