Night 66: West Wing, South Hall 1-A
[From here.]
This was a trip that had gotten old ages ago, and so Harvey tried to make it as short as possible by falling into a brisk walk. He didn't go so far as to jog, since he didn't need to tire himself out before the action even started, but it was a good idea to save time where he could.
All of that was made very easy by the fact that there weren't any other patients around. He didn't know if it was because they were busy going through a painful transformation into some deadly monster, but if that was it, then he also wanted to get to a more open area sooner rather than later.
Harvey reached the end of the hall and rounded the corner into the main hall.

It occurred to her, somewhere between fifty and seventy steps later, that she had no idea what their new friend's name was.
Which made the question lingering on the tip of her tongue rather difficult to broach.
"Um," Orihime started, somewhat tentatively as they made their way into the hallway. "What... are seedflaps, exactly?"

Karkat rolled his eyes from his place at the front of the group. "That stretchy flesh surrounding the big gaping hole in your head that you dump words out of. What else could it have been?" Context! It wasn't hard!
He supposed he could forgive her on the basis that she hadn't really spoken with a troll before now. His manner of speaking had thrown off the other humans originally too. At least a little bit.
The other flashlights in the hall were actually detrimental to his own night vision, but he just squinted and bore it for then. After all, humans apparently had to have light to see past their noses. How they all didn't go blind from being in the sun all day he'd never know.

The hall stretched before them, the distance to the end great enough that the light from Lloyd's flashlight couldn't reach the end. That was the direction he'd come from, but they were heading toward a doorway he vaguely remembered poking his head through the night before. Karkat and Ishida must have a room in a different part of the Institute, then.
