First again, and greeted by an empty hallway at that. Harvey didn't know what to make of it. Either some patients had decided to hide in their rooms, or they were being mauled by their roommates who had turned, or he was getting faster at this even if he had the disadvantage of missing half his face.
He'd kept on the bandages just this once, since they might have to deal with jumping into cold water again, and that really hadn't felt that great on his burns the last time. Not that a few layer of bandages was going to do much, but it was something. His hope was that they wouldn't be required to repeat that whole thing, but he couldn't assume anything.
He'd remembered to bring his journal and a pen with him as well and had decided to sacrifice bringing his metal pipe along because of it. Hopefully he wouldn't end up regretting that choice. With his flashlight in his other hand, he moved it around the area, looking out for either Scott or Sangamon.

People were out and moving, but there was no sign of a little monkey boy. And he certainly knew how to make his size no impediment to being seen. Like someone else she could think of, though both of them would scowl at her for the comparison.
With remarkably similar expressions. Hmm. She covered her mouth with her hand as she laughed at the image.

Slow or not, she was the first to arrive, unless the very tall woman obviously waiting for a group was Nina. She would make an unlikely investigator, but Lana had seen stranger on the force. And Lana was certain she'd been here far too long, even if they'd never spoken. So she nodded to Harvey and found a quiet piece of wall, where she could lean and look merely relaxed, rather than near collapse.

Byrne moved quickly, focusing on nothing except the darkness in front of him and the sound of his heart pounding in his chest (and how much his abdomen was hurting, too; kind of hard to ignore that). By the time full awareness caught up with his body, he was already entering the first main hallway. The realization that he'd just plowed through potentially dangerous areas without caring too much about what was in them was enough to stop him short and make him reevaluate his life choices here.
Because really. Idiot. Way to act like a prisoner in some madman's torture house, running around like nothing mattered in a place where death was a real threat that could happen to anyone at any time! As if the monsters here didn't exist! Badd would have a conniption if he saw his friend like this, seriousl...
... Badd...
No. Relax. Byrne was a grown man. He could take care of himself by himself. He'd just have to be extra careful now that he didn't have Mother Hen in a Trenchcoat watching his back. It's okay. He could do this. Just keep going - and this time, PAY ATTENTION.
After a minute's hesitation, Byrne slowly but surely proceeded further down the hall. The cramping was starting to become a little too much for him, though, proven by how one hand subconsciously moved to his stomach. As if it would make the pain stop. Yeah, right.

The crowd was rather thin tonight. Normally Goku walked among a forest of people always twice his size looking for Taura or Rita. Though, it never impeded him since he could smell Taura from a mile away, but this was certainly easier. On stumpy legs he ran toward her from the conjoining hallway, wondering what the point of that face was.
"Why're you laughin'?" he asked bluntly, staring up at her.

"Whoa, what--?" There were only a few people in here so far! More than a little confused, Luke instinctively checked behind him as if a crowd was just going to overtake him and the hallway any minute. Of course, nothing came, so apparently Luke had gotten here unusually early. Well, if nothing else, he could show Guy and Anise he was taking this serious now. no more sleeping for him!
Crossing the hallway, he took up a stance by the wall where he would have a good view of the intersecting corridor for his friends.

He was almost there... Almost! Lee was proud of himself, having noticed the entrance way earlier on his travel from the Sun Room to the bedroom blocks. He wasn't a mid-ranking shinobi for nothing!
A lively skipping in his feet, Lee rushed onward to the middle of the hall, ready to go all out!

Ilia arrived at the planned meeting spot. Now what? Just to wait for Seishin now. The waiting was the worst.
Ilia struck up a resting position against a wall, then did her best to relax. She untensed her muscles as best as she could and took deep breaths.
Fretting about everything happening tonight was not going to help her. She just needed to relax. Relax. And wait.
.... God, she missed Rose. Too much. Too soon.

And then she arrived. Before Aidou, it seemed.
Aigis gladly took a place waiting in the corner, hoping to have a reason to rest. Her heart had taken up an unsteady rush again, but the android knew it wasn't due to the speed she had raced down the halls. She couldn't let it win, though. Gritting her teeth, she forced herself to remain upright and kept her eyes on the rest of the hallway.

Anise walked quickly through the hallway, stopping when she reached the main area. There were others waiting here, as was often the case, but that didn't provide the comfort that it usually did. What if one of them were to turn, and attack Anise and the other patients? Or worse yet... what if she turned?
Fortunately, she wasn't going to have to wait alone. Luke soon came into sight, and she hurried over to meet him. With the horrible situation they were facing, she wasn't sure how to approach him, but luckily, habit allowed her to muster up a smile for the redhead. "Wow, you're early!" she exclaimed in something resembling her usual high-pitched bubbly voice.

Harvey was waiting, Scott wasn't. Bandages on, for once. S.T. didn't comment on it. Didn't let his eyes flick up once they were close enough that night vision actually worked. It smelled better this way, and he didn't have to talk to a face that was half road pizza.
"Talked to D.C.'s roommate. He's gone for good." It was just them left. Assuming Scott showed.

Taura wasn't about to lie to him, but the truth might be a little complicated. Or, er, a lot complicated, and a little silly. "I was thinking about what a friend of mine would say if he were here. He prides himself on his wit." Among other things. Some of which were even true when measured against non-Milesian standards. Some of which were downright phenomenal when measured against non-Milesian standards. He set them, and then he matched them. Mostly. And expected Taura to do the same. She straightened her shoulders.
"Let's go to the X-Ray room, yeah? We can find out what the intercom was talking about."

There were people here! A few, but there were some. Wait...those clothes--they were the same as hers! She wasn't sure if she should have been relieved her, or not. Um. Well, then! Flora smiled, a little awkwardly, but sincere, and put a hand to her chest. She was certainly glad to find people here so soon, and seemingly unharmed, but there was something strange about them. A lot of them seemed to be waiting around. What for, she didn't know. There was also a marked lack of confusion on a lot of faces, perhaps too many that could be said to be hiding it. It was almost like they knew something. Hmm.
Flora adjusted her flashlight. This hallway was the widest she'd seen yet, so it must have seen a lot of traffic, but she thought could see the end of it on one side. She'd wander just a little further down, and if she didn't find anyone else, she'd come right back here and get down to the bottom of this.

Being too caught up in his train of thought, Seishin realized with a start he had already reached the hallway in question. He glanced around, eventually spotting Silvestri-san near the wall.
She was alone.
Fearing the worst, he approached the woman. "Silvestri-san", he said quietly, the smallest hint of uncertainty in his voice. She had appeared alone, which hardly bode well for Rose-chan...did it?

"Wit..." Was that a type of vegetable? Or maybe it was a topping... Either way it made his stomach gurgle with perpetual hunger. Maybe they could find something along the way because his stomach was cramping so bad it must have been because of hunger.
"Are there monsters in the ecksray room?" It sounded scientificy, which wasn't a good sign. "Does it have food?" At least he would have a consolation prize if nothing else came int he form of a fight.

Luke heard his friend before he saw her. He gave Anise a smile, though it probably went unseen in the dim lighting. "I figured the sooner, the better, right?" It wasn't his life that was in danger, so he had even more responsibility to be forthcoming in this bizarre and macabre investigation. He couldn't tell her how to spend her time and if she wanted to use it to search for supplies with him then that was what they were going to do.
"I guess we'll just wait for the others." It was funny that it had taken them all this long to come together for a night. The replica understood they had their own priorities, but he still found it disappointing he couldn't be included on the basement or whatever it was they did.

Well, Harvey was just so relieved that that little mystery had been solved. Except not. He hadn't cared about Depth Charge from the beginning. The guy had definitely been the weak link in the group, at least in terms of attitude, so he didn't see it as a huge loss.
Still, Sangamon had seemed close enough to the blue-haired weirdo, so Harvey decided to keep those thoughts to himself. In the end, he realized it was good to know for sure. He nodded. "That settles that, then."
Which meant their group truly had been cut in half in terms of numbers. Harvey sighed and shifted his weight from one leg to the other, glancing down the hall in the direction that Scott usually came from. "I took your advice," he said, moving his arm slightly to show Sangamon the journal he had tucked against his side.

Seishin arrived. Ilia gave him a curt nod as she pushed off the wall.
She knew she should mention what was up, but she couldn't bring herself to do it. Instead, she just turned towards the center of the hall. "Let's go."

Well, she couldn't guarantee monsters. Only the likelihood. Which close enough. "No food, but if everyone's heading that way, the monsters will too."
There'd be food, too, in a morbid sort of way. Patients, for monsters. "I haven't been there before, so there could be food." She'd been in the wing, but she wasn't even sure exactly what an X-Ray room was, or what it would look like, but there had been a lot of doors.

As L made his way around the corner to where Lana was already waiting, another of the stomach cramps gripped him. He paused and grimaced. They'd become worse, later in the day, and had been accompanied by nausea and cold sweat. The pain passed quickly, and when it was gone, he reached up with the hand that wasn't in the sling and wiped his brow.
When he reached Lana, he leaned against the wall next to her. The surface felt cool and stable. "Miss Skye." He offered her the weakest of smiles.
Before he could say more, he saw the third member of their party approaching from the side corridor. "Nina." His voice was low and firm: loud enough to reach her from a few feet away, hopefully not loud enough to attract any negative attention. "Over here."

"Then we gotta go herd 'em! Let's go!" There was not a moment to lose! The longer they stayed here, the further the monsters would wander away. They needed to be at the head of that mob, ready to receive!
Goku had no idea where this ecksray room was, but he certainly smelled a handful of people who had previously left this hallway for the one further down. The monsters could certainly smell it just as easily the monkey boy wagered.

Harvey looked thrilled. In the sense that he didn't show any emotion at all. Nice. Moving that face had to hurt, but he could pretend. S.T. didn't sneer in his face, because the guy pulled his weight, and they were short on people who they could even talk to about the basement. Didn't mean he had to be best buddies with him.
"Good." He was going to have his work cut out for him. Sangamon, not Harvey. Keeping the cracks down to one every five minutes or so when the man couldn't hear him was going to be tough. A real deaf guy, fine, he wouldn't pull that shit, but this was different. Harvey could still hear him now, though, so they could both listen to S.T. talk. He pulled up the map in his head of where they'd been last night, and started theorizing. "Four doors, five senses, and we burned one the first night. Wonder what happens if we run out."
