[from here]The main hall was dead quiet as Soma rounded the corner. The last few nights, this place had been bustling with fellow patients; the sudden calm was very nearly unnerving.
Still, she tried to put it out of her mind. Marie didn't sense anything out of the ordinary--yet.

Hopefully interesting in a oh, how nice, a puzzle way as opposed to a, gosh you need to be stabbed in the kidneys, don't you way.
Loki smiled politely. "I am he." The pronunciation of the name was a bit off, but if he corrected everyone who couldn't pronounce old Norse correctly, he'd never do anything else with his life. Spear still in hand, he gave the man a polite bow as well, for the moment pretending that they were equals.
Polite, polite, polite. Everyone liked polite. Well, everyone that didn't deserve to get pushed down the stairs at the earliest opportunity.
"I only just arrived, myself, so you needn't be concerned. I am at your disposal tonight, Kratos."

"What a privilege. I'll do my best to not abuse it and cause you undue grief," he said wryly. So far, the man was hardly boasting, although he imagined that he had not been that way from the start to Riku either. Confident, though...he had dealt with people trying to curry favor with him for many years and could recognize the routine. But perhaps that was bias speaking; he needed to remember that he did not know Lingormr's perspective of the night prior, and that he might have been provoked into saying some things that reflected poorly. Well, perhaps that would be fixed soon.
"In any case, tonight will a waiting game, so you are really at the disposal of this" --He held up his radio.-- "and the man who speaks through it. We needn't stay in one place the whole time, though. Is there anything you require in particular? Otherwise, obtaining medical supplies will be our interim goal."

"Interesting. I'd wondered about those devices. I carried it last night, but it did nothing." He patted the pocket on his coat where the radio was tonight. "I suppose that means I shouldn't take it to pieces, however much I might like to understand its inner workings."
He shrugged, nodding his head slightly toward his newly-acquired spear. "Soma has most kindly supplied me with a weapon with which I might not embarrass myself. I would..." He hesitated, but why not. If things didn't work out this night, he'd just figure out things on his own, which was really how he operated best anyway. "Some manner of tools would be quite useful if there are any to be had. However, I understand if medical supplies are a much more pressing matter than enabling my tinkering. Having encountered a rather badly injured gentleman today, I begin to understand all the warnings I've been given about danger in this place."

Kratos seemed to consider Lingormr's request for a few seconds before he finally spoke. "I see. Medical supplies need not be limited to medicines and bandages; if my understanding of such spaces is correct, there should be a fair amount of surgical equipment and the like in the medical wing of this building as well. That might serve, if such things are indeed available."
He glanced casually over his shoulder as a few patients passed by. "If we can kill two birds with one stone, that would certainly be satisfying. Shall we be off, then?" He jerked his head toward the other end of the hall. "It isn't too far from here, the medical wing."
