Nightshift 24: Second M Block, Near the bathrooms and exit

((Coming from here.))

It wasn't a long way to go before he wound up at the doors leading out of the cellblock. Kimbley couldn't quite remember what room Wesker said he was in - not that it mattered - but he knew it would still be a while. The doors had just unlocked; he wasn't expecting anything, or anyone, else to show up and recognize him for a while.

Hah, although it would be deadly if Mustang showed up and saw him. Then he might have to forego traveling through this place with Wesker just to spend some time with his old friend. That would be more than worth the later bruises he got - or the current ones.

Now he was hoping Mustang arrived. Really, really hoping. He hadn't had fun since Lior; it was about time something happened.

Curious, that a stranger would talk to him, and so cheerfully at that. But Tatsumi was polite, even if he had no intent of extending the conversation beyond greetings.

"Good evening." Though under the circumstances, it was undeniably a stretch to call it good.

With help from the beams of light from the other people traipsing the halls, Hisoka quickly found himself close to the exit of the patient block. Almost there.

Hearing a familiar voice, though, the empath stopped in place and looked around. Tatsumi. Hisoka's brow furrowed slightly and, reluctantly, he approached. Even though the boy would have rather just continued walking especially after the secretary's willingness to simply let Tsuzuki die, Hisoka knew that to do so would only be childish and they had to meet up eventually.

"Tatsumi-san."

"Have fun, boys," Jack said, and then he was out the door and heading down the hall. He had someone to meet, after all.

Tatsumi barely heard Jack's words, his attention focused entirely on Hisoka as the boy greeted him. He didn't miss the touch of harshness in his look, but there was little to be done about it now. After all, it wasn't as if Tatsumi had done anything indecent; he just needed to be sure Hisoka wouldn't lose the note before he got a chance to read it.

"Kurosaki-kun. I'm glad you're more lively now." Tatsumi gave the boy a small smile. "I take it you found my note. We should hurry so the others don't have to wait long."

Always business first, at least with Tatsumi.

Upon his approach the other man left, but Hisoka really couldn't bring himself to honestly care. What they were doing beforehand was their business and not his.

He nodded slightly, suddenly glad-- if anything-- to see that Tatsumi had thought to bring his flashlight. Going without one was bothersome and he didn't need to have to do so all night.

"The drugs wore off." He shrugged. "Might as well, Tsuzuki will have a heart attack if we're late."

"Probably, yes." At least Hisoka's dry sense of humor remained unchanged. Small comforts, Tatsumi thought to himself, before motioning with the flashlight. "This way. It's the next hall over."
