Night 69: Sun Room

[from here]

The Sun Room was still and quiet as they entered. Rita knew better than to take that for granted, though. She’d been caught off guard before. With her flashlight, she gave the area a quick scan before starting to make her way to the Library. She considered telling Taura to stay on guard, but that was probably unnecessary. Taura seemed to have a good idea of the risks they were facing.

Taura had melted into the shadows around the edges of the room as soon as they'd stepped in; if any ambushers thought there was only one person in the party, so much the better. Rita could take care of herself for a minute while Taura got the drop on them.

It was impressive how quickly and thoroughly someone so big could disappear. She padded on silent feet to the library doors, then quietly turned the handle.

"Seems all clear!" Korra made her way into the Sun Room, flashing her light into every corner to make sure that they were alone. Man, this place was spooky at night.

"... For now," Kyousuke responded. He could never quite trust the silence of this place; things tended to pop up without warning no matter how through you were. Not that needless paranoia was going to help anything, but it was still better to be aware of that fact.

Things seemed to remain peaceful, however. Hopefully that would remain true when they go to the cafeteria.
dispersive: (let's do this!)

Luke had to agree with Tsurugi on this one. The Sun Room always seemed so inconspicuous, until something sneaked up behind you. He was mindful of the second floor above them, too, knowing that something could jump down from out of nowhere at a moment's notice. Still, he couldn't help but hope that they made it to the door without incident.

As they crept slowly forward, the replica kept his eyes on their rear until they had passed the threshold of the cafeteria doors.
