Night 61: West Wing, South Hall 1-B
[from here]
Despite being cautious, Anise was still making good time. The halls were dark and eerily quiet, but they appeared to be clear of any danger... for the time being. Anise didn't plan on sticking around long enough to see if or when that would change. She moved on to the next hallway.

It was unlikely there would be an attack this close to their rooms--general consensus had been that the night before last had been something of an anomaly--but there was no sense in tempting fate. Soma kept jogging.

Luckily it wasn't far to the hall between the wings, and the door at the end where she had told Scar to meet her. She hoped he'd seen the note, she had no idea which room was his. She supposed she could always call for him - he had to be in one of the cells down this way. But she would prefer not to have to yell his name as though he were a lost dog, or she some desperate woman on a street corner.
She didn't give much thought to what Landel was rambling about on the intercom. Other than to note that it sounded as though he did answer in some way to the military that had vacated the premisses. Interesting, that. And hopefully tonight's excursion would shed a bit more light on the situation.
Reaching the door that led to only the men's blocks, Lust crossed her arms and leaned against the wall to wait.
[For Scar!]

Scar glanced down the hallway, noticing a light. He approached the figure whom he recognized to be Lust. How did she have her old clothing? Scar had looked through his closet this morning. There had been nothing but various gray shirts and pants.
"Where did you get that light?"
He didn't bother with a regular greeting.

Lust angled the flashlight down and stepped away from the wall when Scar approached. Thank god she wouldn't have to go searching for him. She wondered how much he had learned and how much he believed now.
"You should have one, too. In a drawer or under your pillow when the lights go out, something like that. Here, you can carry it. I'd rather have my hands free anyway." They were the only weapons the two of them had, after all. She held the flashlight out to the Ishbalan, her expression and tone giving no hint to the emotional distress she'd dragged herself from moments earlier.

But she was letting him carry it. He wasn't sure whether he should be thankful or give her a look for taking pity on him. He grabbed the flashlight a bit more quickly than necessary. There was something unnerving about being anywhere near her hands. He had nearly been gutted by them several times too many not to be wary of the homunculus' frightening abilities.

She didn't waste any further time and struck out towards the main hall, simply expecting Scar to follow behind. She wasn't exactly used to working as an equal partner with anyone and taking the lead came naturally. And it was easier to make that distinction between them, at least in her mind.

Aigis moved silently along the wall, keeping herself as small and unnoticable as possible. She realized she did not have a lot of firepower in her arsenal and she would rather avoid monster encounters to keep from depleting it further.
She zipped down the hallway, passing along without giving any of the other moving patients a second glance.

Quiet was the nature of the dormitory corridors, a sign that Tear had started off later than expected. As long as she kept to her destination and completed her task, however, the extra time used to organize the supplies was worth the delay. Of course, this meant avoiding any and all encounters, friendly or otherwise.
She managed a quick visual sweep of her surroundings before heading south.

Not much to see here either, Leanne quickly saw, just more of the same. A few people here and there, but no one that jumped out at her as a familiar figure. At least, there didn't seem to be anyone she could recognize in this darkness.
Seeing no reason to linger, she quickly moved further down the hall, toward the main halls.

With the messages left, Donna had taken care of the only real thing she'd determined to do that evening. She'd never been good at planning, and as tempting as it would have been to head back to bed and have a good night's rest - God knew she needed some "beauty sleep" - the prospect of finding Landel and giving him what for won out in the end.
She made it through the smaller hallways fairly easily and stopped off outside of the block, looking around just in case. "Well, don't see him, so might as well hit the usual place," she sighed at the relatively empty hallway before turning for the big ones.

There was no one in the hallway when she entered, but that was fine with her. She wasn't looking for someone to go along with for how bad she'd been with that kind of thing. While she didn't think she was cursed, she felt she did better without someone along, or more they did better. So many others had been hurt just after joining her that she wasn't sure she'd ever be able to be in a group again.

If they had worked once before, then it could probably happen again.
Her head lowered as she raised a hand to her chin. "Maybe..." I should try using them once each night? she wondered. It was a possibility, after all, and if she could get her powers working even a little she could try using her senses again. Maybe even find some answers for a chance.
Well, it wouldn't hurt, she eventually determined as she looked around the hallway again. Still alone, she pressed her back to the wall and sighed, "All right..."
