Night 51: West Wing, North Hall 1-A
[from here.]
Here was that right turn. About the only place Logan could get to with no confusion was the bulletin board, and by extension the cafeteria: straight down the hall, take two lefts. Once he got there, there was a possibility that he'd get held up - a handful of people had all said the same thing: trying to go through that room at night was a bad idea.
Well, it was a good idea; it just also happened to be dangerous. It sounded like the crew that'd tried to hit the basement last night had gotten held up, and there was nowhere else that could happen. There were two doors in the cafeteria that indicated there was some other way to get in, but Logan had no idea what that was. There was a door way behind him, but that was the wrong direction. With any luck, Kurt would have an idea.
With his luck, both doors led to goddamn broom closets.

"I knew someone who had met the first man on the radio," he said, voice only loud enough to be audible to his companions. It wasn't a secret, per se, but it was not precisely information to broadcast loudly in the halls at this time of night, either. "But that was -- over two weeks ago. Well before Landel claimed to have killed him.
"What did this one have to say?" Assuming that anything useful had been said -- despite the more earnest nature of these other broadcasters, Sasuke remained dubious of their intentions. Pawns were no more than pawns irrespective of what side played the game, after all.

Besides, the topic had taken a turn to the radio, and Zack was glad he'd brought his along. So it was true that the current guy had made contact with some of the patients, then. And apparently it had happened in the past, though by the sounds of it, that was pretty rare.
"So I guess he's trustworthy at least to that extent," he remarked as they moved down the hallway. Zack was glad for that. Having someone they could rely on, at least slightly, was nice. Even though he was used to having to solve things on his own, he wasn't going to say no to some outside help. That all depended on whether or not the man could get around Landel's attempts to block him, though. Zack was crossing his fingers for him -- figuratively, at least. His hands were a bit too full to do it for real.

"From the sense I get, merely to impress upon us that he’ll be trying to succeed Jack. The basement was brought up; supposedly his group doesn't know what's below us anymore than we do." And there was the issue of trustworthiness again. All the vampire could really believe in was that nothing was worth trusting--not the rings, and not Marc or his words. It was why he had little care for the woman, Jill's, situation, if she had indeed been captured. "But he seemed to be operating from underground that night, in the mountainous region to the east of here. An old haunt of Jack’s."
Aidou himself had yet to meet either of the men, at least not alive. Luck must not have been on his side, when luck seemed to be all one could rely on where encounters with these people was concerned.
Annoying.
"Was that the night Jack showed himself in the library?" he asked of Sasuke's comment. Because Zack was so much newer than either of them, he had only the boy to ask. What were the chances Zack had hit upon the right person to ask about these past events in his time here? He and Aidou certainly hadn’t talked long enough for those details to come up. It was a plus if Zack increased his knowledge, though, the way information networks were supposed to work.
