Night 50: Main Hallway, 1-West

It looked like the hallway opened up over here. Guess he couldn't expect to just run around and follow a linear corridor forever, but now he had to figure out which way he wanted to go. Normally, he'd just run down whatever hallway he happened to lay eye on first, but again, he was running a liiittle blind here.

He still wasn't seeing any people anywhere. Maybe everyone was hiding. If everyone knew the staff turned into monsters and tried to eat them, then it'd make sense that they'd try to keep low. Thankfully, he'd be taking care of whatever was wandering around this place, so they wouldn't have to stay hiding for long. Once that was done, they could blast their way out of there and he could find his way back to the others. Couldn't keep everyone waiting on account of him, right?

And there he was. It seemed there wouldn't be any need for further instructions. The Royal straightened up as Depth Charge walked into the hall, addressing her.

"As if anyone could be comfy waiting in these dark halls," she replied blandly. Really, for her, she didn't mind the moniker. There were plenty of worse things she could be called and had been called. "And yes, we might as well start moving."

Clicking on her flashlight, the Royal led the way through the milling crowds towards the stairwell.

It was strange, now that he noticed it, not talking while they moved. Somewhere along the lines he'd found a voice since he turned up in this dump; really, he hadn't had a choice. The luxury of working alone hadn't been available to him anymore, and working in a team required communication.

Which was something they distinctly lacked now, short of making up some kind of overly-complicated code. At least he knew the direction they were heading in. He'd have to keep pace and keep his eyes trained on Hime unless they wanted to end up in serious trouble- then again, he'd probably end up in trouble with her if he stared too much. Lose-lose, as always.

Hime, on the other hand, was used to working in a group - generally with her at the head of it. And along with that came giving commands. As a result, she was intent on continuing to speak when ordering Depth Charge around tonight, regardless of whether she could be understood or not. For one thing, it would still catch his attention when she needed it and for another, pantomiming out instructions silently would just look silly.

Luckily, instructions, pantomimed or verbal, probably wouldn't be necessary unless they ran into something.

Taking a turn, only glancing momentarily to make sure the robot was still following her, she headed down the main hallway.
