Night 49: Recreational Field
[From here.]
It was cold and rainy out on the soccer field, but Remy didn't mind; the water on his face and the sharp chill caused the wave of mild dizziness and confusion that hit him to vanish as if it had never been there. Weird. Maybe he was hungry again already?
Getting out here meant that they were that much closer to the kitchen. He bounced through the door, then paused, looking from side to side across the expanse of green grass. Everything looked clear, so he moved to the right, to stand near the wall.
"Okay, guys... we just have to get up over this wall and into the courtyard. Honey says it's easy to get into the kitchen from there. We'll go in the same way we came out the other day."

It looked like luck was not on their side tonight.
"Son of a bitch," he griped as he shoved his forehead into the hand that was holding onto his pillowcase. For a moment, all he could do was stand there and let the rain pelt down on him. He just wanted to find a dry, safe place where they could take a breather at this point, since it was clear they weren't going to be reaching the pharmacy or the file room by chance. Not when they'd ended up in two fridges, zombie territory, outside in the rain, and in the company of monsters gone wrong thus far.
"Let's just get back inside," he urged, though he realized that they could just be warped to an outside area again. Then again, the courtyard and this field were the only ones that he knew of, so they probably didn't need to worry too much about that. The point was, he wasn't climbing the wall for no reason again.

Seriously, was some place dry too much to ask? Apparently. The rain hadn't let up in the last five minutes and Sam couldn't get any more soaked than he already had since the last time he was out here, but it was still not nice to be pelted with freezing water.
At this rate, between the fridges and the rain, they were both gonna catch pneumonia before the night was up.
"Yeah, I'm with you."
Sam sure as hell wasn't gonna climb the wall again just to get thrown to another place. And he had no desire to explore the field. He'd been there. There and in the shed where his brother had nearly killed him and yeah, no, he was all for going back inside.
He pushed open the door behind them and stepped through without wasting a second.
