Night 49: F21-F30 Hallway
Sleep studies. Emergency reconstruction. The doctor's first message was just as ominous as his second, and once again Aigis felt herself dealing with a rush of sudden, burning emotions. She had to stay seated for a moment, biting her bottom lip, just trying to cool down. With her cooling jets missing, it wasn't quite as easy to filter in air to calm her. She had to rely on this model's version of human "breathing." Was this how real humans coped with the fluctuations in their systems? It was a tedious process.
Finally, she was relaxed again, but just as determined. Standing to her feet, Aigis retrieved the baseball bat Junpei had prepared for her and made for the door. She would find Landel tonight, and force him to release all the patients here in the institution. If he would not listen to her pleas, she was not opposed to using physical means.

It didn't matter, though. To Furudo Erika, there was no mystery that could not be solved. And she was about to solve one now, namely the whereabouts of the Golden Witch herself. Battler had insisted that she existed here, and was going to show her. That should have been the greatest proof, but without the red to truly confirm anything, Erika would have to investigate this matter herself. Therefore, she decided to go with Battler tonight.
It was a shame that she had to distract herself from the more interesting things going on tonight to pursue the witch she already felled, but it was necessary. Even the detective had to do some boring follow-ups; Erika sighed as she finished transcribing the broadcast, tucking away the journal into her pillowcase before collecting the rest of her items and walking out of her room.
As she made her way down the hall briskly, Erika thought of her meeting with Marc and the broadcasting equipment he had been looking for. She did want to venture outside tonight, not even minding the rain. On the contrary, it almost set the mood for the night.
