Night 46: Weapons Range
[from here]
Hitsugaya entered the room and noticed it was well lit, like the ballroom had been. There was a bright light emanating from the ceiling, and if Hitsugaya didn't know any better, he'd say it was sunlight; however, the last time he checked, it was still nighttime. There was no way the sun could be out. The fact that he could see clearly and that their captors had given them weapons only unsettled him more. "Keep your eyes sharp and stay close."
As Hitsugaya stepped forward, his eyes scanned the room, fully expecting something to ambush them or some trap to activate.

As he absorbed the new room, Kratos slowly realized the connection between this one and the previous. This room, was it for..."A test?" He softly voiced the end of his thought. It made sense. The institute had properly armed them; what was left was to see what they could do with them--
Or not.
Kratos twitched as suddenly, the weight of the sword he'd taken from the previous hall lifted. He looked down and flexed his now-empty hand. The sword was gone, vanished - but how? He shot Hitsugaya a quick glance, and was puzzled to find that the captain still had his own sword still in hand. "What...?"

Her brand-new naginata was gone.
Hokuto drew in a sharp breath and grabbed for her shovel, very glad she'd been cautious enough to keep it just in case. Easy come, easy go. A fast look around showed that Kratos' sword was gone, but Hitsugaya's wasn't. "Beats me," she muttered in reply to her teammate's unfinished question. Whatever was coming next was probably not going to give them much time to prepare, so she slipped into a combat stance and braced herself.
