Nightshift 45: File Room 1
[From here]
Once she confirmed that there was nothing lurking in wait for them in the small room - at least, nothing readily detectable, but was there really anything they could do about the undetectable? She'd keep it in mind to take note of any cutting sensations or wires should there be invisible men on the premises - Hime stepped inside the tiny area. Hopefully nothing would attack them; with all three of them, plus the hunk of metal Teresa was using as a weapon, it would be tight confines indeed within which to conduct combat.
"Well, I guess nothing for it but to start looking," she said, eying the large filing cabinets. Walking over, she was pleased to find that at least these weren't locked; she wouldn't have enjoyed having smash these open as well with the way her hand was still tingling a bit from taking care of the lock. Opening the first drawer, she began pulling out files and poring over them with her flashlight.

"What, exactly, are you hoping to find?"

"If you tell us what we're looking for, I bet we can help," he offered.

These files all looked like they related to the medical records of the "patients". Interesting.
"Tell me if you see any labeled 'Kingston'," she called out, skimming through the A's and B's. "It'll probably have my picture on it."

As Hime talked, she raised an eyebrow. Kingston. Picture. Ah, papers on each of them. Kingston must be the family name the handlers gave Hime. It was an odd concept - giving family names as opposed to banishing them. She made no move to help search the files. For a brief moment, she turned her head to look out of the corner of her eye at the door. She couldn't sense that presence anymore. Was that because of the distance or was it something else?
"If anything is what you wish, you appear to have found a veritable trove."
