Nightshift 45: M11-M20 Hallway
[from here]
Oh, so this was the hall he needed to be in. At least, he was pretty sure it was the right place. If he remembered right, the man on the bulletin board talking about Search and Rescue, his name was Phillip Hunt. If there were only two people in a room, though, it shouldn't be too hard finding him.
Allen shone the flashlight up on the wall, following the numbers. M14, where was M14...

Re: Outside M14
Allen was declaring that he wanted to help; on an impulse, Javert fixed him with his gaze for a brief second. It had always been described as soul-searching before, but now it was literally so, and the ensuing headache was worth the glimpse he had of the boy's past. At the very least, he was telling the truth.
"You seem like an honest young man, Mr. Walker," he said, the barest hint of approval in his voice. "We'd be glad to have you. Are you willing to begin tonight, or do you have other plans?"
Re: Outside M14
When Javert finally seemed to accept him (or...whatever he was doing), Allen smiled again. "I don't have anything to do, no. I was just going to explore, I think? It's not like I know anyone here!"
Not as far as he knew, anyway. He hoped that none of the other Exorcists were here, at any rate.
Re: Outside M14
"You are welcome to come with me tonight if you wish. Our job has been complicated tonight by the good doctor; there are patients here who seem to have fallen victim to the delusions with which the nurses constantly plague them. I shall be directing those patients back to their rooms. If you'd prefer to explore on your own, I have no objections." A month ago he might have thought a boy who looked this young was defenseless against the creatures here, but he'd learned quickly enough. "Either way, stay on your guard."
Re: Outside M14
At least now he had one friend. Er, ally. Er, something! It was a start. And he meant it when he said he wanted to help, but he couldn't be much help without some knowledge of the place, could he? So he'd have to explore.
He waved goodbye to Javert and headed out into the hallway. He wasn't sure what kind of monsters he was supposed to encounter, but he just hoped it wasn't anything too terrible. He still wasn't entirely sure what his Innocence could do now that it had achieved a new form, and if it really was limited, then...that was even worse.
He remained hopeful, though, and went on his way.
