Nightshift 22: M21 - M30 Hallway
Xemnas' plan to get information from his roommate turned out to be a failure, as his roommate didn't even show up. Instead, he decided to gather information by investigating the room he was in. He had stumbled on various items which were quite out of place for an institute such as this. Journals and pens, he could understand. But a flashlight? Or a radio?
Xemnas suspected this institute wasn't as it seemed to be. It was rather unfortunate that none of his subordinates could explain the details before they were escorted back to their respective rooms. Xemnas had hoped he could receive information from his roommate, but that too had failed.
The Superior's suspicions were confirmed as soon as he heard the announcement over the intercom. The way this man spoke was quite enough to confirm anything. A complete contrast from the announcements during the day. Such a happy facade they held up, but for who?
He noted the hallway was completely shrouded in darkness. Surely, other doors must've been unlocked as well, but he didn't hear a sound. Not even footsteps. Just his own breathing.
Confirming there weren't any direct threats, Xemnas carefully stepped out in the hallway, closing the door quietly behind him.

Specifically at room M26
Renji ran all the way from his room to Nowe's, as he had the night before. M26; the kid had confirmed it earlier on the bulletin board. No signs of life yet. But not that odd. He moved fast, and he'd been out the door as soon as it unlocked.
He tucked all of the metal bars under his arm and knocked on the door. As weird as the situation was, it still seemed impolite to just barge in.
Re: Specifically at room M26
Valyn still wasn't certain what to expect. The dark didn't bother him - elves had a cat's night vision, after all - but being unarmed did. He had his power gathered and at the ready, but with so little available to him, he wasn't looking forward to relying on it. But what else could he do?
At least the hallways were laid out in a way that was easy enough to discern. The disembodied voice of the lord - no, 'doctor' - who ran this place only added to his nerves. As did the other disembodied voice that seemed to be speaking in riddles. Valyn understood all the words, they just... didn't make much sense to him when strung together.
Luckily, the young Lord didn't have to wander too far.
"Renji?" The red haired human - or whatever he was - was easy enough to spot.
Re: Specifically at room M26
He was looking forward to introducing everyone around, actually. He figured they'd all get along pretty well. And it never hurt to have more people to work with and rely on. The thought made him feel rather cheerful, though that cheer was a bit colored by the worry about Hisoka apparently vanishing. He'd have to warn everyone about that. Though that'd probably wait until they were all there so he didn't have to repeat himself.
Re: Specifically at room M26
"This whole place seems dirtier at night." And he knew it wasn't a trick of the dark - the dark didn't play tricks on elven eyes.
Re: Specifically at room M26
after?life in danger like that...Tsuzuki left his room at a quick pace, intent on finding the boy as quickly as possible, only to run literally into some man standing near the next room over. He stumbled backwards, staring up at the red-haired man that he had run into. "Ah! Sorry! Didn't see you there. I mean, I kinda did, but not really quick enough to stop..."
Re: Specifically at room M26
Then someone ran into him. It wasn't a threatening sort of run in to; that was probably why he hadn't noticed it coming.
Renji reached out and grabbed the front of the shirt belonging to the guy that had just run into him. It was just to steady him; he let go a moment later.
Then he really looked at the guy, his eyes narrowing. "Another..." And he didn't recognize this guy. "Name, rank, division," he said, his words clipped, his tone demanding. But wait... his eyes narrowed just a little more, as he got that subtle difference he'd noticed with Hisoka. He could recognize it now. "No. Wait. You're like that other guy."
Re: Specifically at room M26
When the other man ran into Renji, Valyn simply stared. He didn't understand any of what the red haired man said, after all.
At least the Citadel had cured him of any tendency to culture shock.
Re: Specifically at room M26
"Another?" he repeated, frowning. He didn't understand any of that, except for the whole 'name' part. He did have a division, but that wasn't something he was just supposed to hand out to normal people. "Um, I'm not sure what you mean, but my name's Asato Tsuzuki."
Re: Specifically at room M26
...except yours sucks and mine doesn't.
Re: Specifically at room M26
"Valyn," he offered, as far as his name. He didn't bother with his titles and family name - he didn't need them here, and didn't particularly want them. He'd turned his back on being the Hernalth heir, after all. He was just plain Valyn now, nothing special or important. Certainly not a lord anymore, even though the mind mage from earlier had insisted on calling him one.
Re: Specifically at room M26
He immediately latched onto this bit of information, the rest kinda drowning itself out in his mind. He was about to assault Renji with questions when he heard Valyn clear his throat. "Oh, um, hi. It's nice to meet you. Sorry if I'm interrupting anything..."
And he really was. But he couldn't resist the questions that were plaguing his mind now. Looking back to Renji, he gave him an urgently pleading look. "You've seen Hisoka, right? Do you know where he is? If he's ok?"

(Renji steps innocently into the pwnage that is to come)
