DAY 45: Sun Room (Second Shift)

There was something fishy going on in the Institute today. All over the bulletin board, people were talking about having "woken up", having been "cured"... and it seemed as though ZEX was one of them. Tanaka wouldn't have recognized the note at all if it hadn't been signed - his wording, his handwriting, even his name had changed - and a part of him still wondered if it had been an imposter, trying to pull the wool over the Captain's allies.

But it'd be easy enough to find out the truth. Whoever it was had agreed to meet him, and Tanaka was waiting for him just outside the cafeteria doors, ready to catch him as he came from breakfast. If "Max" was an imposter, then he'd discover the identity of a hidden enemy. And if he was really ZEX...

...well, he'd have a whole new set of things to worry about.

'Human'? This was one of those people who had been another species before, then. He hadn't really met all that many of them here. "Truthfully it isn't sir, but having a capable fighter here put out of commission in this place is a problem, and you aren't looking all that fighting fit right now."

... Lugnut blinked. He wasn't usually one to be cheered by praise, but it was true that he was a capable fighter, and feeling... unfit for fighting.

"... Hm," he replied, though he didn't look away again, staring unerringly at the human as he thought.

Well, that looked like it had gotten through in one way or another. He stood there quietly for a few minutes, waiting. "My name is TK-622. I am a Sergeant in the Galactic Empire's Stormtrooper Corps. Are you military as well?"

Ah, so one of the sentient droids? "I've been hearing about the Decepticons." Mostly over the amazingly insane notices on the bulletin. No wonder this one was unstable right now.

"I have been in here for eighteen days, after being... permanently taken offline serving the Empire. My one goal now is to ensure that this facility is destroyed and all prisoners be restored to their natural state."
