Nightshift 44: Experimental Treatments Laboratory
[From here.]
Scourge shivered as the chittering and scratching of the test animals reached his ears. Even without the traumatic memories that accompanied this place the sounds gave him the surges. He had no idea what was back there, no desire to find out, and no clue exactly how strong their cages were.
"Keep a watch out for monsters. This is where the spider got me."
He jerked his head up and searched the ceiling, turning around to make sure he didn't miss any dark corners where giant arachnids might be hiding. Nothing yet, but then again there'd been nothing there the last time he'd been on his way in--the spider had only appeared when he was trying to leave.
The chemical closet was the second door on the right, the one that wasn't making horrific organic noises. Scourge slid the tip of his blade into the lock and gave it several good, hard thrusts and twists to break it apart. "C'mon."

Flash was a stupid name. But if he was famous enough to have a museum and Piper was powerful enough to be in his museum as some clothing-wrapped statue looming down upon the innocent masses like the colossi at Starscream's coronation, that had to speak well of Piper's prowess.
Scourge's eyes adjusted quickly and once again he checked every wall and piece of ceiling, clearing the room of potential spiders before even bothering to answer Piper's question. "Morgue, I think. Place where they keep humans who die here before they burn them or eat them or whatever they do with corpses. There's nothing for us in there, if the corpses are minding their business I'm gonna mind mine." As he had stated to himself the last time he was down here, he wasn't a religious mech but he had strict personal rules about disturbing the resting places of the dead.
Namely, don't.

They were seriously keeping dead bodies up here? Like, storing them? Gross! Bart, for one, had no desire to see them at all, and unless Piper had an actual reason to stick around, Bart would just as soon they go.
It was up to Piper, though. Bart had actually gotten pretty good about not charging off on his own, believe it or not.

Feldt looked into the room, making sure to stick her flashlight in and look around before actually entering. There was something that caught her eye though. Something that both her and Setsuna had been looking for since their arrival. Once she was sure there were no monsters in sight, she stepped in.
A computer. That was where she headed first upon getting in. It couldn't hurt to look at it, and... if she could just hack into it, then perhaps she could get the information that she needed off of it.
"Setsuna, do you think that this may be the computer we were searching for?"

"Find out what you can," he told her in response as he began to scan the room. He was not certain what the purpose of this room was, but perhaps he can find additional weapons. After all, they were not safe yet.

She was quiet for a couple of minutes as she began to work on it. It wasn't exactly the most high tech thing that she had seen - the only difficulties she should have had would be adjusting to the lower level of technology. However, as she tried to get into the computer, she discovered that she just wasn't able to do it. She couldn't get past some of the stuff on it, no matter what she did.
"... I am unable to hack into the computer." She said after a short period of time. Nothing she was trying was working.

Unfortunately, it had not been what he had been expecting. He frowned at the needle he was currently holding in his free hand as if it were at fault for their current situation, and set it back in its container. He then turned around and approached Feldt to take a look at the computer screen.
He was silent for a few moments, wondering what kind of security they had set up. If Feldt could not hack into it, then who could? He found it impossible to believe that his comrade, who had completely rewritten their Gundam's programming, could not hack into such a system. Just how skilled were the employees of this institution, and what were they hiding to require such a strong security?
"We will find another computer," he told her after a while, turning away and looking around the room for a second time. There must be something usable as a weapon in this location.

She nodded at what Setsuna said next, as well. That would be the best thing to do, considering there situation. If there was one computer, it was highly likely that there were more in the building. Perhaps she would have more luck working with one of those, instead of the one that she had just tried to hack through.
"It is likely that there may be another computer that we will be able to break into. We will get our information soon, Setsuna."

He looked around again: Four doors, two to their right and two to the north. He contemplated on which door to take for a while, before deciding on the nearer door to the north.
"Let's go," he told Feldt as he walked towards it.

And here they were - right in the middle of...well, a boring laboratory full of weird cages. He didn't exactly what Kaworu and Asch to see him pick up a box full of knives though, so now he had the problem of figuring out how to split even momentarily from the group while he raided the closet up against the wall. Which was also open. Bloody hell, someone else was probably in there and probably already going through his cabinents.
Steering well clear of the other two in the room, Grell stopped and motioned absently toward the various bits of equipment and cages lined up along the walls. "Why not check here and see if they don't have any of your torches, Asch?" Ha, as if they'd have them here. "I'll see about looking into those closets. If not, we can move on to somewhere else."

He looked around the room, shining the dim light around. "What is this place?" he asked. It made his skin crawl more than a little, though he couldn't say why. Some memory he didn't want to think about, maybe, from when he was Luke and a prisoner.
He tried to ignore the goosebumps that crawled across his skin, and did as Grell suggested. He moved away from the two of them to look in some nearby cabinets. He hoped there was a torch (was it really called that?) in here, so he could get the hell out.
