Nightshift 44: M51-M60 Hallway
Sai changed quickly. Whether he was less emotionally stable that usual or not, he was far better off than he'd been the night before. He would perform the mission required of him tonight. It was nothing that should put anyone's lives at stake, and holing himself up would only decrease his ability to perform his duties later.
The vial of sedative was secured safely in the sweatshirt he used as a makeshift belt. It was important that he got the item to Sakura tonight. They might not get an opportunity to get hold of a replacement if this one was lost.
M90 was in the men's block in the opposite hall. He should make haste so that his teammate wasn't delayed.

Oh wait. He had news. In a minute.
Something went 'fsssszzh' and Rude sat up straight and stared at his desk before getting up and stretching.
"Ran into Loz," he said, eventually, non-smile telling Reno he'd had fun.

He tilted his head. Loz, huh? Frankly, he'd kinda not bothered with those clone freaks. More of a headache than they were worth. And now that Elena was...Anyway. Maybe he'd fuck around with them later.
Besides, Rude was apparently getting the work done. Good on him. Taking initiative was important! Or something. He was pretty sure he read that from something on Tseng's desk somewhere.
"So," he said, beckoning Rude with a hand. "Details, man."

"Upsets real easy," he said. Of course, if that punch had connected, it probably woulda hurt a bit. And Rude had hardly provoked him. That had all been the other guy. Whatever his problem was.
"Thinking we could use him." Another shrug. The could do it or they could leave it, the overall outcome probably wouldn't change much. So really, the option was to use him or keep pissing him off. Whichever was more fun or useful.

Of course, that did raise the question of--
Reno cocked an eyebrow. "What's he even useful for? 'Cause I ain't looking to work together with these freaks and I dunno if I give enough of a damn to wanna do undercover shit just to off them."

Rude got up and went for his hiding space and pulled out the bottle of rum. Unscrewing the top, he knocked a little back and returned to the other bed. He wondered if Cissnei was coming. Elena was gone. Out with the new, in with old? Shit, it felt weird. The lack of control over Elena and seeing the kid again. Up front. Young. A Turk, still. Rude took another swig.
He sure was feeling old lately.

This was the room that Rude had given her the number for so she definitely hoped that he'd remembered it right. She gave a sharp knock on the door then folded her arms over her chest, shuriken dangling loosely from her fingers. "Rude! It's me. You'd better open the door now."

Though maybe Rude had some crazy plan that might actually work, but until Rude told him what his potentially brilliant plan was, Reno was going to take the opportunity to mock the hell out of it. 'Cause really, it wasn't cool that he had to pry all the info outta Rude piece by piece. What was wrong with just telling him all in one go? With sentences.
"You want him to carry our shit? Are you—"
A knock cut him off. Oh, there she was. Cissnei was calling for Rude, but Reno figured his partner would be a lazy bastard, so he took the initiative and ambled over at no great rush.
He swung the door open, hand resting on the doorknob as his gaze traveled down to the weapon in her hand.
"Awesome." He started to walk back into the room, jerking a thumb in Rude's direction. "Now you have something to chuck at his head till he tells me what's going through it. Using more than two goddamn words at a time."

He looked at the shruiken and gave Cissnei a nod. At least one of them was being a little proactive, he thought, having another swig of rum. Wasn't the best stuff, but you had to make do.
Oh and he certainly had two words for Reno. But, in terms of the plan? That really was pretty much it. You didn't chuck away the chance for something free just because you weren't sure what to use it for yet.... Right now, Loz was alone and he was dumb. A little manipulation and they had...., what...?
"Human shield?" he shrugged. Sent Dopey in first to distract monsters and shit, he didn't know. Errand boy would be alright too.
no subject
"Who's going to be a human shield?" she asked, raising an eyebrow at Rude.

He threw himself onto the bed and crossed one leg over the other, arms tucked behind his head. He had to admit, wasn't a bad deal hanging here while Rude fiddled with his usual stuff and--well, Cissnei's presence wasn't exactly the norm. It'd kinda been awhile since he'd seen her and it was still a bit weird. But she was one of theirs.
"Taciturn over here fill you in on all the cool shit you've missed out on?" he asked, waving a hand vaguely at Rude. "Y'know, aside from the human shield part. I ain't helping you push the bastard in the way, man. Just so you know."
no subject
Cissnei getting to know Loz. Loz with the mummy issues. Probably pretty easily swayed by cute girls. Tick, tick, tick, went his brain.
Rude shrugged and held the bottle up for Cissnei, not out of any sort of kindness. Just because she wasn't Reno and that might annoy they guy.
"Just planning," he explained.
