Day 43: Sun Room, Second Shift

When the shift changed, HK stayed put. Even after a long night of zombie killing, he had no interest in meatbag fuel, especially after all the discussion of chocolate with that rather strange meatbag. It was just making him crave the stuff even more than he had previously, if that was possible.

Oh, right. He was supposed to be looking for someone who was "VERY LARGE, WITH DARK HAIR." And also seemed to not know what lower-case letters were on the bulletin. As if that would help. He'd seen a likely candidate last shift, but talk of chocolate had distracted him.

Raz turned around. A man was grinning at him, introducing himself as 'Scott' and asking a bunch of questions that, frankly, Raz didn't really know the answer to. "I think it's called Landel's," he replied. "I just woke up here too not too long ago, so I don't really know a whole lot about this place." Raz leaned in a little bit closer and stood on his toes to try to whisper in the man's ear: "Also, there's supposed to be monsters around here."

If there had ever been any doubt in Scott's mind that this was either a dream or a game, the existence of monsters in the building was enough to erase nearly all trace of it. "All right, this is getting more interesting!" he exclaimed with one fist clenched in excitement, forgetting that the NPCs could "hear" everything he said. "So, mental hospital that's not what it appears to be, and there are monsters," he summarized to himself. "Got it. Thanks, dude!" he said to the little character, turning away to check the next NPC without saying more.

After discovering pretty much everything worth discovering in the Sun Room, Raz kinda ran out of things to do. He sat himself down and put his head down on the table, scheming on what to do next. Obviously he needed to escape somehow, but from what he read on the bulletin board, that's what everyone's been trying to do for the past month or so. How the hell was he going to get out if, out of all the patients, no one has been able to do so?

Raz heard footsteps approaching and lifted his head up to see who it was. A nurse looked down upon him with a sweet-yet-concerned smile. "Are you bored?" She asked. He nodded, even though 'feeling helpless' was probably more accurate. The nurse continued, "How about I take you to a different room?" He shrugged, and hopped off his seat. The nurse took his hand and lead him out of the Sun Room, hopefully to somewhere useful.
