DAY 43: CAFETERIA, MORNING
Where was Blitzwing?
Lugnut ignored the nurse's fussing over his foot, even as it howled objections to his ill treatment of it the night before, pounding through the town in search of his wingmate, reportedly helpless and injured by an attack the night before-- and not finding him, not seeing even a glimpse of his crazy triple-changing ally.
Snarling at the nurse, but restraining himself from shows of violence-- Blitzwing would mock him if he showed up drugged already, and he would be useless to Megatron like that--he made his way impatiently to the cafeteria, stopping for just long enough to post an urgent notice on the board.
Where was he?
Looming in the middle of the cafeteria, he took the tray the nurse handed him (filled with disgusting human fuel, didn't she know he didn't have time to eat, not when his wingmate was missing?) and ignored it, watching for Blitzwing, where was he?
He refused to think about what might have happened to a wheelchair-bound, drugged, incapacitated warrior, with the swarms of monsters flooding around him, clawing and biting...

"So that was Jamie." He said the name with a certain distaste and then paused, not entirely sure how to express their relationship in any way that made sense. He decided that there wasn't, really, so he just shrugged, ran a hand through his hair and said, "He's some kid I share a body with, I guess. Don't ask me how or why, 'cause I dunno."
no subject
"Let's say I believe you," he said, "how come he didn't know anythin' about yesterday then? Never mind how come neither of you said nothin' about being on time share." He snorted and smirked challenging at the kid. "Nearly bopped ya one, then you woulda known all about it."
no subject
"And I dunno why he doesn't remember anything from yesterday. I don't remember anything about him either, though, 'f that makes any difference." He shrugged and then smirked a little. "Never really came up in conversation while we were jackin' that car and fightin' off nurses. And he's just all...embarrassed about it or somethin', I dunno." The grin slipped into a scowl. "Hafta ask him about it next time you see him."
no subject
"Can't you just do somethin' about it all? Or at least switch out whenever you like?" Eagle was cool to talk to, but it was weird to think that there might be someone else in his head when Raph saw him again.
no subject
"'f I could do somethin' about it, I would. I don't exactly want to be stuck with him," he groused, jabbing angrily again at the food on his plate. "'specially not when he holds me back like that. Y'know, not lettin' me be in control when I wanna." God, that sounded weird.
no subject
"Well he's not holdin' you back now, right? Don't that mean it's easier to switch now?"
no subject
"Yeah, it's - I dunno, he said he was runnin' some kinda simulation or somethin'." Eagle's brow furrowed in a scowl. "Fuckin' lame. An' like I said, he stuck somethin' into my neck and next thing I know I'm ridin' in the backseat while this kid's drivin'."
He chuffed a sigh. "Yeah, he's gone for now, but he's just gonna be back later, tryin'a keep me locked up in his head. I don't wanna keep switchin', I wanna go back to the way it was. When I didn't hafta share a body with him."
no subject
"Listen," Raph said. "I hear ya when you say you don't wanna ride back seat to someone else, believe me. But I dunno if there's much you can do, you know? You're not the only one they did stuff to without any kinda warning or nothing, but there ain't much we can do for the moment. Other then find the guy responsible and have a little 'chat' till he sees reason." He smacked a fist into his open palm to show what he meant by that.
"But tryin' somethin' now's just gonna get us sedated again," he sighed. He glowered in the direction of the nurses and swirled his fork through his scrambled eggs, thinking.
"How come he keeps you locked up anyway?" Raph asked. "Afraid you're gonna swipe another car?"
no subject
On the other hand... "Yeah, 'd be all for handin' out a little payback if I knew who did it to me," he said, trying not to sound as sullen as he previously must have. "Couldn't see the guy's face, though, even when I didn't have that damn helmet over my eyes..." He sighed angrily. "What the hell're they after around here, pullin' this kinda shit on people?"
He followed Raph's glance toward the nurses and chuffed again. "Just gonna hafta be patient and wait for the right time to make a move, I guess," he said reluctantly. Patience was not one of Wild Eagle's virtues. "And yeah, I think the kid's still pissed off about yesterday, gettin' drugged an' all. Doesn't want me gettin' him in trouble again. But hell, I was tryin' to get his ass outta here!" he added resentfully.
no subject
"You got me," Raph said with a shrug. "I figured this'd be some kinda experimental lab or prison or somethin', but I got no idea why there's so many normal people here. Or why they turn ya into one if you're not."
He would have said more, but the intercom came to life with another weird announcement from the iris thing, and that meant the nurses weren't far off.
"Listen, Eagle," Raphael said quickly. "I dunno 'bout you, but I ain't gonna give up that quick. This place's gotta have some kinda weakness or somethin', right? So if I find anythin' tonight, I'll let you know. And then maybe we can find the jerkface that did this to us and get us a little payback."
no subject
Eagle cocked a brow at that 'turn-you-into-one' comment, but didn't have time to remark on it himself. Instead he gave Raph a slight grin as the nurses began rounding up the patients to shuttle them off to their next destinations. "Sounds like a plan to me, I guess. I'll see what I can do, too." He lifted a hand in a careless wave as he rose from the table to go with the nurse who'd come to round him up. Not that he liked being told where to go, but he'd play nice for now if it meant he'd be relatively free to scope out the institute and find a way out. "Try not to get killed or nothin'."
