DAY 43: CAFETERIA, MORNING

Where was Blitzwing?

Lugnut ignored the nurse's fussing over his foot, even as it howled objections to his ill treatment of it the night before, pounding through the town in search of his wingmate, reportedly helpless and injured by an attack the night before-- and not finding him, not seeing even a glimpse of his crazy triple-changing ally.

Snarling at the nurse, but restraining himself from shows of violence-- Blitzwing would mock him if he showed up drugged already, and he would be useless to Megatron like that--he made his way impatiently to the cafeteria, stopping for just long enough to post an urgent notice on the board.

Where was he?

Looming in the middle of the cafeteria, he took the tray the nurse handed him (filled with disgusting human fuel, didn't she know he didn't have time to eat, not when his wingmate was missing?) and ignored it, watching for Blitzwing, where was he?

He refused to think about what might have happened to a wheelchair-bound, drugged, incapacitated warrior, with the swarms of monsters flooding around him, clawing and biting...

[for Scourge]

The nurse was there in a flash, materializing as if out of nowhere with two orderlies diving in to pull the two patients off of each other. She stood with her hands on her hips, a hint of annoyance filtering through her stern expression.

Fortunately, it didn't seem the fight had gotten bloody yet.

"Just what is the problem here? You both know perfectly well that violence is not tolerated within these walls."

Recluse willingly pulled away when the orderlies arrived, letting go of Lugnut's wrist. "He attacked me needlessly. I did nothing more than defend myself." He didn't say 'without provocation', for what it was worth.

"I had nothing to do with it, I was just sitting here!" Scourge announced loudly and without being asked. First Blitzwing and Kon and now this, he'd probably get in trouble for it by association.

He really needed to hang out with less evil people. Or at least less cranky ones.

"Quiet, please," the nurse said firmly. She was far from interested in hearing the patients point fingers at each other. Fortunately, it didn't appear as if either one were willing to continue the fight despite the presence of the orderlies, as some of the other patients were occasionally prone to doing.

She turned towards Mr. Youngberg when he mentioned his hand and peered at him. "We'll get your hand looked at if you wish, but I would like you both to separate yourselves until you learn to work out your differences peacefully."

"I sprained his wrist," Recluse said as the nurse examined Lugnut. "And there will be no further problems. No one here enjoys sedation." Unless that was assuming too much about the Decepticon.

Keeping to true Decepticon form, Scourge kept his hands over his face and his attention firmly at his tray, waiting for the entire thing to blow over and the nurses to wander away again.

The nurse eyed them both critically, but after a moment, she nodded. One of the orderlies returned with an icepack. She took it and placed it over the patient's wrist after examining it for any extensive damage, of which there wasn't any.

"I don't want anymore trouble from any of you, understood?"

With that, she turned on her heel and left.

Recluse ignored the nurse, returning to his seat once the orderlies were gone. He'd made his point, even if it seemed to have mostly bounced off of Lugnut's skull.

Scourge peeked through his fingers to make sure the nurses were gone, then gave a low groan.

"Do we really need to be jumping each other half the time?" he asked, facing Lugnut and directing most of the complaint at him. "Starscream, yeah, that's different, but all the pointless infighting's just getting everyone sedated half the time." It was like a Stunticon party half the time whenever he hung out with Lugnut or his wingmate--messy and painful, even if you were only watching.

"If you ever require more lessons in how humans can be hurt, I would be glad to give more instruction during the night," Recluse said before Lugnut left. He didn't care whether Scourge followed or not. This had been a satisfying start to the day.

Scourge stood slowly, looking to Lord Recluse with an apologetic shrug. Lord Recluse was smart, he knew how things were. And, ideally, he knew who Scourge preferred to work for and would probably follow a bit more enthusiastically if Lugnut was looking the other way.

Like a good little Decepticon, he followed.
