Dayshift 42: Morning - Magus Park
Senna stepped off the bus to wind blowing through the clothes she was given. A sad face at one of the nurses allowed her a long red scarf as well, and once she had draped it around her neck and let it hang down her back, she had trotted off.
The park she had saw last time seemed a good place to be on the look-out for the chicks from last night. It was close to the buses, and a big enough place that if they remembered that they had a race date, it would suit its purpose. The girl ran to a place in the middle of the field and waited there, shifting her weight from side to side. After a while, this wasn't enough, and Senna traded back and forth between jogging in place and acrobatics--the easy flips and cartwheels keeping her warm.
Her mind had changed in the night before. She had gotten a taste of what leadership entailed, and she wasn't sure she had rose to the occasion or not. She knew she had tried her best, and had been willing to give as much as she had, but it hadn't been enough. She knew this. Hokuto, at least, had gotten hurt, and in the end, they still hadn't explored more than the schoolhouse. They really needed a different approach with that place.
She went back and forth internally, body going through the motions and reflexes of her movements.

And the first person she wanted to find was Ken; Yukari had said she thought everything was okay, and the girl wanted to trust that. But she also wanted to talk to Ken herself, just to be sure. So when she got off the bus, she went into the park, but not too far. Hopefully Ken-kun would come that way too. If he did, Ururu was determined not to miss him, and she made sure to look at everyone that went by.
[For the boy-cute, strict reserve]

With some regret, he tossed the bag into a nearby bin and walked away. There were a couple of things he wanted to accomplish before lunch time, most notably finding someone Ken hadn't had the chance to see awake for over a day. Who happened to be situated not far from the drop off point.
Ken couldn't believe this string of luck. "Ururu-san!" the boy called out as he jogged over to her location. "I'm glad you're okay."

Finally stopping to breathe, Ururu looked a bit sheepish as she realized that she'd just said a lot of things, but really hadn't given Ken-kun time to answer any of them. "I'm sorry. I was really worried about you." Then, hoping it was okay, Ururu reached out to give Ken a tight hug. "You're okay, right?"

His intent to explain why was quickly overshadowed by Ururu's hug. Once again, the child felt the joints in his ribs crack by just a fraction. "A-Ah. Yeah. I'm fine." Really.

Still, it was good that he was okay, and after a moment longer Ururu finally let go of Ken, taking a step back. She looked down at the ground still, trying to think of just what she wanted to say. "Are your friends waiting for you? You can go, if you have to." Ururu didn't want to get him in trouble by making him late for anything, after all.

The child caught himself sighing when the other one released him. Despite her stature, Ururu was quite strong. Overly so, sometimes. "Oh, no." Ken shook his head. "I don't have any plans right now. Actually, Ururu-san, I was wondering if I could talk to you about something."
