Dayshift 22; First Shift; Sun Room
As always, Tamaki woke up in his bed. He didn't know how he got there, but he woke up still in the clutches of fear he last remembered from the night. The fight in the hallway, Ed and Adel, the thing...
He was out of bed immediately, determined to make sure his friends were alright. He listened to the man on the intercom, not liking the idea of some big surprise. He didn't imagine any surprises could be good. And he hoped his friends felt the same way...
When his nurse came to get him, he chose the Sun Room instead of the chapel. He wanted no part of whatever was going to happen. He only hoped that Ed and Adel had the same idea....
They probably didn't. Agitated and worried, Tamaki paced along the window, hands behind his back, and waited.

"Well, maybe I like being around you, too," she teased back, even though it wasn't entirely teasing. But telling him that was totally out of the picture. Well, maybe. Sorta...
Cast a quick
nervousglance at him, Yuffie leaned over and gave him a kiss on his cheek before pulling back again. "Thanks. You know... For being here. And cheering me up."no subject
It wasn't hard to see Yuffie was starting to crush on him. That was fine by him - he loved the attention, and it felt good to know she, at least, didn't resent him for what had happened last night.

She grinned back in return. "I guess, and I do feel better," she answered, though it wasn't the complete truth. There was still that not-quite-dull ache inside whenever she thought about what happened, and the thought of confronting Aerith made her really uneasy, but she was pretty sure Zelos knew what she meant...
"What about you?" She wanted to make sure he was feeling better, too, though at the same time, she didn't want to break this casualness...

Just swell. But it wasn't Yuffie's fault, and he wasn't about to drag her down.
He masked his face to something impassive and waved his hand. "I'm fine," he said. "Don't worry." His eyes fell to the floor and then quickly went back to Yuffie. "Hey, when you see Aerith, just make sure she's doing okay."

"Aren't you going to talk to her?" she asked, seeming a little concerned now. She didn't understand. Zelos hadn't done anything wrong, right? He shouldn't be avoiding Aerith... Not that she seemed to be here right now.

This time, he made sure nothing in his body language gave him away. He was never very good when it came to talking about his feelings. Instead, he smiled.
"Nah, I think she'd much rather hear from you," he said. "You two were friends before you came here, after all. You'd probably have a better chance of cheering her up than me." Why would Aerith want to talk to the person responsible for the reason she was upset? It didn't make sense.

"You're her friend, too, aren't you? It shouldn't matter how long you've been friends. I mean, I knew her a while... but it's been a year since she died. And then I suddenly see her again her, and it's just really weird. I don't know what to say... And she really likes you, anyway." At least from what Yuffie could tell.
