Dayshift 22; First Shift; Sun Room

As always, Tamaki woke up in his bed. He didn't know how he got there, but he woke up still in the clutches of fear he last remembered from the night. The fight in the hallway, Ed and Adel, the thing...

He was out of bed immediately, determined to make sure his friends were alright. He listened to the man on the intercom, not liking the idea of some big surprise. He didn't imagine any surprises could be good. And he hoped his friends felt the same way...

When his nurse came to get him, he chose the Sun Room instead of the chapel. He wanted no part of whatever was going to happen. He only hoped that Ed and Adel had the same idea....

They probably didn't. Agitated and worried, Tamaki paced along the window, hands behind his back, and waited.

Ed shrugged, casting a suspicious glance at Greed. What was with all the questions? "Four days, I think." Time was so strange here. It felt like so much longer than that. He rubbed at the plae where automail joined his shoulder, rubbing it to soothe the tension. He'd really messed it up, used up too much energy.

"No. Never seen another you here." He frowned, remembering the things Mustang had said on the first day. "Then again... when I woke here, they said some stuff about me having been here before, even if I don't remember it."

"It's been about three days for me," Greed drawled, though he wasn't going to let the fact that the kid had been here longer have any impact on his confidence. He arched an eyebrow with curiosity in response to Ed's next comment, looking towards the ceiling.

"Huh," he said through sharp teeth. "Guess he wasn't full of shit, then."

Three days? Ed considered it kinda' lucky that he hadn't run into Greed before now. Still, it could have been Envy who was here and Ed knew who he'd rather face out of the two of them.

He snorted at Greed's reaction. "The Colonel is always full of shit. Just need to learn to work out when he's actually telling the truth." He said it with an air of confidence that completely belied the fact that Ed had yet to master that technique.

"Is that right?" The homunculus looked towards the kid out the side of his eyes. He smirked, turning towards the alchemist. "See, I gotta know these things ahead of time, since I get the feeling I'll be spending more time around him than I'd usually do with you military types."

He wondered if Ed knew the reason, but hey, he didn't want Mustang and his sheet-friend finding out he'd spilled the beans and losing an unnervingly appropriate ally.

Ed frowned at that, eyes narrowing in thought. That sounded kinda' ominous to be honest. "Why?" he said curiously, wondering what on earth Greed would want with the Colonel. "And I deserted the military," he added as an afterthought. "What's so special about Mustang?" Greed knew something and Ed wanted to know too!!

Greed loved having anything valuable or desired, information included, so when he found the Elric kid curious, he grinned and couldn't fully contain his giddy glee that he had something he could keep for ransom. In this place, after all, every possession mattered, even if they weren't material goods.

"Oh, just a little secret between me and him," he said slowly, examining the fingers of his good hand as he slowly covered them with shield. "Besides, I think he'd be pretty damn pissed if I let you in on it."

Ed returned the homunculus' grin with a scowl. He would have crossed his arms sulkily, but the automail wouldn't budge and it would just look silly to move it with his other hand.

He shrugged deliberately, feigning indifference. "Good for you. Like I care about the bastard's secrets. There's plenty he doesn't know."
