Night 41: M51-60 Hallway

Recluse had used his uneventful dinner as time to hammer out and sharpen a new blade for Scourge, and do maintenance on the rest of his own weapons, then changing into his black Arachnos officer's uniform, ready for the night. Then, it had simply been a matter of waiting, impatiently as always, for the doors to unlock.

At least that pompous fool didn't lecture them all that long-windedly tonight. He slipped out into the hallway as soon as his door was unlocked, red eyes glowing dimly in the pitch black corridor.

Out in the hallway from M55

With the door loudly slammed behind him, Sechs blinked in the darkness as he took in this unfamiliar environment. The lack of any proper lighting made this new scenery impossible to recognize. He was able make out a dozen doors leading down the hallway in both directions. The walls lacked the usual metal cables that infested nearly every inch of Ketheres. The floor’s texture wasn’t made of cold metal either. Hmm... Perhaps he was in some sort of residential area of the orbital city?

The Replica gruffly sighed to himself. First he got into that lousy fight with that jackass Will, then he injured his arm after using his own special attack and now he was lost in some unknown area of Ketheres! Geeze!! Why were things being so damn difficult today?!

Before he started his furious prowl down the hallway, the Replica's ear caught the sound of Will's laughter coming out from the other room.

"Yeah, yeah! You just keep on laughing!!" Sechs shouted towards the direction of the snickering, "laugh like the clown that you are!! You just wait there and I'll be right back to give you something to REALLY giggle about!"

Squinting his eyes into the darkness, Sechs noted the number on the door he just exited from. 55? Got it. If that bastard knew who he was dealing with, he wouldn't dare wait in that room for Sechs to come back. Whether he stayed or not, once Sechs gets his Fizziroy body back, that room would be the first place he'd look in for that lying jackass.

The influx of stress caused his sprained wrist to experience another painful spasm. This time Sechs growled with more frustration than pain. He really needed to see his Cybertechs and get out of this broken body. If Sechs could just find an area in Ketheres that he was familiar with, he'd surely be able to find a way of contacting his fellow team mates.

Growling under his breath, Sechs took a turn to the right and roamed down the hallway. Resembling a feral hunter, Sechs shifted into his habitual slouch with his neck slightly stretched out and his yellow eyes glaring in the shadows. Sechs' intact arm tightly held onto his aching wrist. Further down the corridor, Sechs found himself in a new hallway where he caught sight of a single door up ahead. The Replica had no idea where it would lead to, but he had to start somewhere if he was going to get out of here and find his way back to his team's base.

Once he approached the door, Sechs carefully released his sore arm; with a grunt he then used his unhurt arm to force it open.
