Night 41: M51-60 Hallway

Recluse had used his uneventful dinner as time to hammer out and sharpen a new blade for Scourge, and do maintenance on the rest of his own weapons, then changing into his black Arachnos officer's uniform, ready for the night. Then, it had simply been a matter of waiting, impatiently as always, for the doors to unlock.

At least that pompous fool didn't lecture them all that long-windedly tonight. He slipped out into the hallway as soon as his door was unlocked, red eyes glowing dimly in the pitch black corridor.

Xigbar waited until Demyx was done with his scene and spiel before he rolled his eye one last time. "Huh... he doesn't get it, does he?" Kind of a pity, that; not that Xigbar was ever going to explain things to someone else when he didn't have to. He hadn't done that for his career as a Nobody, he wasn't going to end on that note.

Besides, what could he say? That he knew Sora well enough to know he wouldn't go after the other Nobodies, no matter what Xigbar did? That he was doing this partially because of what Sora had done to Luxord and Demyx and all of the other Nobodies? That perhaps he'd finally squared away accounts and now he was free to do whatever he wanted?

As if. Demyx could stay feeling that way, and Luxord could stay in the dark, and Xigbar would just keep it to himself. As always. For now, he grinned at Luxord and laughed, "Well, now that our Official Conscience has said his piece, you good to go?"

As if they truly had a need for someone else to scold them after X already gave his fair share of such rantings. If II did not listen to Luxord, there was no plausible way he would listen to anything Demyx had to say.

Imbecile. Why would he even bother? He should know better.

Back to the task at hand, however. X nodded his head and, less violently this time, at least, pulled the senior member back onto his feet and lead the way out into the hall.
