On her way out of the room--her room, she thought, sans personality and a ‘roommate’--Yomi turned on the flashlight in her hand, and once again surveyed the area while slowly meandering towards the exit. Change or no change, there wasn’t much to see. She’d learned a lot in only one night, a night that had ended more quickly than it should have.

This place was a cesspool for negative energy when the sun went down. The building reflected the effects.

The cell block itself was devoid of people like the prior night, but considering the number of bodies she‘d seen milling around that day, Yomi had thought the lack of foot traffic had been a fluke if everyone else was being released from their cage to wander around the same as her. Like rats, ha. A flat smile touched her mouth as she looked down each branch of hallway on her way by. There were a few presences that she could sense nearby, so she knew she wasn’t completely alone. They were more noticeable than the spectre that’d given her the injuries on her arm--in this after hours free-for-all, spectres had to be the ones she kept an eye out for, if they were all prone to attack.

Them, and also whoever was watching the rats run and setting out traps.
