Day 40: Intercom, Noon
The Head Doctor gave a somewhat exasperated sigh as the intercom switched on.
"Well! All this paperwork certainly tuckers a man out, doesn't it? Ahaha... in any case, we have a very tasty meal of fish and chips ready for you – crispy, batter-covered cod fillets with a side of fries on each plate. Of course, we also have tartar and other dipping sauces available, along with ketchup and mustard; our fully stocked salad bar also offers some delicious fruits, vegetables, nuts, and whatever else of nature's bounty that you feel like having for lunch. Yum-yum!"
His words sounded a little forced this time rather than ridiculously cheerful to the point of sincerity. He finished quickly.
"We also have our usual drinks – juices, milk, water... all that good stuff. Er – I believe that's all for now! Enjoy!"
The intercom clicked off.
