Leon gestured sharply to Ren, drawing his sword in the same movement. What he was looking for was, clearly, not at all important at the moment. Was it worth a fight, was the question; retreating now would mean another night spent coming up here, but leather to wrap his sword hilt was a matter of convenience, not life or death.
The real question was, then, was this a patient who happened to be armed and have some degree of power, or was this a real enemy? The latter... probably not worth fighting for a few scraps of leather, no.
