Nightshift 39: F31-F40 Hallway
Another uneventful dinner. Not that she cared much. Maki wasn't the most talkative woman, but it was a little odd to not have at least some kind of conversation with her. Oh well.
Beatrix checked her weaponry, concealing the pairing knife in her hair, before she left. She was looking forward to what the other half of the basement offered, though she needed to stop and see Skuld first.

Whether she feared it properly or not, though, nothing appeared out of the darkness to menace her, so she started down the hall. So far as she knew there was only one path to the women's habitation block, so she should be able to find Raine as long as she put herself in its path quickly...

But where the hell to go? The file room again? There was no point. She'd seen her file already. Hell, maybe it was time to just try and run. No, that was stupid and she knew it. Her brain was just desperate to come up with some plan of action to stop this God-awful useless sensation.
It seemed she only bounced between depressed and angry. Well, that was probably normal. Right now she wished she was angry, because at least that gave her energy. Well, spend enough time wandering and something was bound to piss her off....

Tonight they might be needed. She just couldn’t tell.
It seemed like Reinforce had somewhere to go, and Tsubaki didn’t want to hold her up; whether or not she could remember them, maybe the woman had made friends that would support her. So when the lights went out the doors unlocked, Tsubaki said goodbye to the woman as she left, then collected her things with a puzzled frown, wondering at the sound of snoring coming from the intercom. That man, exactly what was he thinking? Was he being serious?
Sighing, she lifted her bag of ripped sheets and went over her route in her mind. She wasn’t positive, but there was a chance M35 in the cell block across the hall, so she’d start there.

When night fell, she grabbed the pickaxe and quickly slipped out of her room and into the corridor. The earlier she got there, the more time there was for eating.

In the meantime, she'd better keep exploring. Meche got to her feet and put her hands against the desk for a moment, bracing herself in case the dizziness came back. It didn't. Good; she'd wanted to avoid taking the wheelchair if at all possible. She'd just try not to overexert herself, maybe to find a little company just in case the going got tough. After pausing for a moment to think about what she'd need, Meche picked up her flashlight, a pillowcase, a pair of shears and a razor, just in case.
She didn't have a particular destination in mind, but hopefully she'd find something useful to do.
