Day 39: Intercom, Afternoon
The intercom's jingle went off, though when the Head Doctor spoke, it was with more urgency than cheeriness.
"Hello, everyone! I'm afraid all of these patient introductions have caused us to get a little bit behind schedule today – as such, I'd appreciate it if you all very orderly moved on to the next shift as quickly as possible; no loitering around the cafeteria this time! In any case, our next set of activities is in the Music Room, and just like with the rest of our non-meal shifts today, all specially assigned patients shall be taken to their respective doctors by members of our nurse staff.
"I apologize for the rush, but I do think we're nearing the end of our roster of new patients. Thank you, and I'll speak to you again before dinner!"
The intercom clicked off.
