Nightshift 38: Stairwell by Waiting Room/Lobby 2

Sora entered with Allen onto an empty stairwell. He guessed this wasn't one that patients used that often, but hopefully that would mean that they would be able to get to the greenhouse area and over the wall without any hiccups. He wasn't going to bet on it or anything, but he was still allowed to cross his fingers!

He felt kind of silly with the extension cords looped over his shoulders like this, and it was probably going to get tiring pretty soon, but Sora kept any complaints to himself. He was strong, after all! He could handle this!

"I hope this stuff holds us," he said instead, now that Indiana had gotten the thought into his head. He had a few ideas for how they could go about it in the safest way, though, so he was pretty sure it would work out in one way or another.

Even though he was suspicious of how easy a time they'd had of tonight, he couldn't really say he was upset that they hadn't been attacked yet. He was starting to feel a little better; having a goal in mind and working toward it always seemed to help. Even if things were crumbling around him, at least he knew what direction to keep heading.

"Me too," he agreed, still certain the stuff was an awful lot like rope licorice. Maybe he was just hungry.
