Nightshift 38: Decontamination Room
[coming in from here]
Harley walked in cautiously. She'd learned enough that the rooms were more dangerous than the hallways, and the last thing they needed was to get pounced as soon as they marched inside. There was a faint, distant sound... the slow, rhythmic pat of water dripping from a shower head. Otherwise, the room was silent.
This was definitely new. She actually wasn't quite sure what kind of place this was, but there was nothing like it back at Arkham. It was a large room with several places some giant freak bug could be hiding, but as far as she could tell, the room was empty. Too empty and too clean. There was definitely a feeling that the room had been used within the last 24 hours.
"Uhh," she droned in a loud whisper. She wasn't quite sure why herself. The place just gave off the feeling of needing to whisper. "There should be a door 'round here that leads to the labs..."
Maybe it was that chemical smell or maybe it was the fact that they were so close to the labs where who knew what ended up happening, but Harley was getting a bit creeped out here. Not that she was planning to turn back or anything. She was not leaving without her darlings.

Whatever the reason was for this area to be existing in the first place, it wasn't anything related to bees and flowers. Unless said bees and flowers were out there to eat them.
Not wanting to remain any longer than absolutely necessary, Scar glanced around for the door that Harley had mentioned. His feline eyes had quickly located it and he headed over, only pausing to place his ear against the door to listen for any signs of activity in the next room.
Silence. But whether that was a good thing or not, Scar couldn't quite decide. He reached out for the knob and turned it. To his surprise, the door wasn't locked.

Itachi quickly passed over the room with the flashlight, not immediately seeing any enemies. Of course, his eyes were not the best. He walked in confidently, giving no sign that his every sense was straining to catch a sign of an attack before it happened.
He could see now that this room was segmented into three smaller areas. This first area did not have much in it, other than a table. Warily, shining the flashlight into dark corners, he made his way through to the next part, which seemed to be a shower area.

There was only the one other door, so Yuuhi assumed they would be going that way. "Doesn't look like there's anything here we can use," he commented, moving along.

The room was as strange as when she had first came upon it. Here, were places to check for hidden threats. Her gaze swept the room quickly, analyzing any places that stuck out.

Almost there. Wesker made the short dash through the decontamination room and off into the lab proper. It was time to start taking this fight to Leon and demonstrating what made a superior bio weapon.
It wasn't all about brute strength and extra appendages.

He slashed at the tentacles with his knife, and used his already injured arm to deflect Leon's claws and take the least amount of damage possible. Wesker used the back of his hand and arm, hoping to avoid cutting the major blood vessels on his wrist. The tendons on the back of his fore arm would be ruined, but that would leave him only able to clench his left fist, and not open that hand.
Far preferable to having the more vulnerable part of his wrist slashed open. Wesker continued to back up to the door that opened to the lab proper, this room was too small to properly fight Leon in.

He lunged forward, tentacles snapping towards Wesker, apparently intent on knocking the other man over with a head-on bull rush.

When Leon lunged at him, Wesker dodged to the side, going through the door and into the lab.

Indy was not this kind of scientist.
The room, he saw, was divided into three parts--presumably, as the name suggested, used for some kind of decontamination process. Were they worried about preventing contaminants from outside from getting into the lab, or about preventing whatever the researchers were dealing with in the lab from getting out? Either way, that setup left a lot of places for potential assailants to hide. The flashlight beam reflected off the aggressively white surfaces but didn't pick out any lurkers. Still, he'd rather get through here as quickly as possible.
"Lab door is up ahead at the northwest corner of the room," he said, already striding toward it.

He didn't head directly for the door Jones indicated, instead taking the time to get a quick look at the area around them. It had too many blind corners for comfort, but that had only a little to do with why he found himself unnerved by the room. "What are they doing, that they'd require this sort of set-up?" he muttered. Whatever it was, it couldn't possibly be good.

But that was as far as he got with that conjecture, because that was when he heard voices coming from the far doorway. The speakers were men, and they were angry, but that was all Indy could make out from their tones. But what the hell were those slamming noises?

Jones' abrupt trailing off alerted him to the sounds coming from the next room. Methos stilled, straining to hear more clearly. Another quick sweep of the room picked up a splash of blood across the walls. He grimaced. "That's not a good sign."
