Night 37: Ballroom (basement)
[from here]
The ballroom was just as Beatrix remembered it, all marble with its fountains and the silver wall sconces with lit candles. As the Bride descended the stairs, leading the two assassins the bitch, she kept her sword at the ready in case there were enemies lurking amid the very large room and it's flickering light.
Reaching the closest sconce, the Bride turned her flashlight off and stowed it in her waistband. The sconce was easily removed from the wall, as it had been the last time she was here, and she held it aloft like a torch.
"I was unable to open any of the four doors by myself the last time I was here. I'm unsure as to the mechanism needed to open either of these doors," she said, pointing to the north and south doors. "But the other two had a slight amount of give to them. I was simply not strong enough on my own to move them."
She moved toward one of the fountains as she kept a sharp eye out for surprises, expecting at least one of her companions to be more focused on the room's layout and obvious expense than the potential dangers.
