She waited in silence for Bridget to return, hugging her arms to her chest and trying not to be as upset as she felt. She'd gone from optimistic to a complete wreck in a matter of hours.

"Bridget?" she called out once, trying not to sound frightened and failing. Luckily he returned, offering her the staff that Alita had given her. She took it, but didn't want to stray far from her friend's side.
