Maybe Leon was more sensitive than Guy had thought. He hadn't meant to turn the boy off after making a few silly comments, and Anise really was worth getting to know. Still, Leon wasn't completely against the idea either, so hopefully it would work out in the end.

When it came down to it, Guy still thought Ion would be Leon's top "competitor" in that situation. Though it really didn't have to be anything other than platonic in the first place.

"All right, it looks like we have to go right from here. Not for too long, though, so it should be fine." A monster could always be between them and their destination, but he was trying to think positive.
