Day 37: Sun Room

Joe had read some of the larger notes stuck up on the bulletin board when the announcement came on the intercom. All things considered, this Landel guy didn't even seem so bad. Even if these people were held here against their will, he was certainly nice about it.

Apparently, the new patients - including Joe - were to hang around in the Sun Room or go to Arts and Crafts with the kids. Well, there was plenty of information on the board, including maps and descriptions of monsters, for Joe to prepare for the nighttime, when he could seriously get going on fighting his way out. He could look for where the boss would probably be waiting, or where his V-watch might be, and figure out how to fight the monsters. In fact, he had plenty of time to work all that out... but this the first time he'd had to really relax since he got his powers. So it couldn't possibly hurt to enjoy the calm period, could it?

The red-head stepped back from the board, and hopped back onto a comfy-looking couch to digest in the sunlight. He reached up to pull his cap down, and sighed when he realized it wasn't there. "Oh well, nothing's perfect. I still wouldn't call this hell."

Masaru snorted when his path was blocked; like hell that was going to do anything. He was getting this bullshit sorted out, and that was that.

"That's right, don't get in the way!" he agreed. "If there's no reasoning here, I'll just have to convince you with my fists!" He knew that he could and was perfectly prepared to take out anybody who interfered. Like they'd stand a chance against the #1 street-fighter in Japan!

"I'm afraid you can't do that," she said to the first patient. What was his name? When the new ones came in, it always took her a bit to remember. Ah, right - Joe Black. "Mr. Black, you and your friend need to return to the Sun Room."

Of course, her nice routine stopped dead the moment Yuudai decided that using his fists might get him what he wanted. Giving him a decidedly stern glare, she said, "And we do not condone violence here at the Institute, Mr. Damien. I don't want to have to sedate you, but I will."

[Sorry for the wait, guys. Didn't realize it was my turn. Also, forgot to say that this is Kaze. D: ]

Was that how they were playing it? Sure, whatever. "Daimon Masaru," he greeted arrogantly. He didn't bother adding on his title, instead saying, "But enough with the words!" They were way past that already. It was time to settle things.

He immediately charged at one of the orderlies at full force.

She always did have to remind herself that the reason why these patients were in here was because they were a little... well, crazy. Joe struck a pose and gave his made-up name and the nurse sighed a little inside. She'd been doing so well with having nice, normal crazy patients. Now it seemed she'd walked right into the middle of what everyone would want to be talking about over the water cooler or something.

"That's nice, Mr. Black, but--" Suddenly Yuudai charged and the nurse was forced to move back as the orderlies took over. Unfortunately for Yuudai, the orderlies were trained in these sorts of things and as the boy ran forward, the orderly stepped to the side, grabbing his shoulder to twist him around, using one hand to bring his arm behind his back and hold him. "Please, Mr. Damien, let's not do this? I really don't want to have to sedate you - or your friend."
