Day 36: Intercom, Dusk
The intercom's jingle came on as usual, though the Head Doctor seemed rushed as he made his last announcement of the day.
"I hope all of you enjoyed your meal, and I'm sorry to say that my announcement tonight must be cut short in the interest of paperwork. Dearie me, whenever did it become so hard to be an administrator, eh? Haha... ha..."
The Head Doctor seemed to realize his own joke had fallen short and cleared his throat.
"In any case, I'm glad you all were able to enjoy this special day with your loved ones or at least with your newfound friends. Goodnight, everyone, and I hope to speak to you tomorrow!"
The intercom clicked off.
