Clark wasn't in the best of moods when he entered the room. His visit with Lex had gone badly, to understate things, and he hadn't been able to get that phone call he'd been waiting a whole week for - in fact, Lex insisted his parents didn't even want to talk to him and wouldn't until he got out, as if his parents were ashamed of him. And what was this about his Dad running to be a congressman?
The door closed behind him, leaving Clark with his roommate. Clark felt awkward around him - they hadn't ever really talked much and it seemed like the last time they'd even exchanged more than a few words, they'd gotten into a fight. Clark still felt the awkwardness, the silence, and somehow he felt big and clumsy even though he hadn't even done anything yet. He wondered if Leon was still mad at him - it seemed like he was always irritated about something, just from his impression of his roomie, and he wasn't really sure if he should say "hi" or give Leon so more space.
