"You did that to yourself, while you were in withdrawal from all the drugs you took." It hadn't been pretty; Dexter supposed he wasn't surprised that Max apparently forgotten about it as well.
"I told you, it's not safe for you to have contact with Mr. Stern," he said impatiently. "His girlfriend is already making things difficult enough; I understand she even took her story to the vice principal of the school where he used to teach. And if Caleb were to ever recover his real memories of you, he'd most likely try to press charges. I doubt even Madame could keep it hushed up if that happened."
