Day 21 - Sun Room

Ichigo was only too eager to leave the cafeteria and its fresh memories behind when the softened chime of the intercome rang clear. What had begun as another ordinary meal, a rather agreeable one despite the lack of the proper utensils, quickly became somewhat unnerving. His conversation with...what was his name again?...took so many sharp turns, he should've felt dizzy. It was easy to feel a little sorry for the guy, though; surrounded by stangers in a very strange place, it was hard to blame him for being so alarmed.

The Sun Room occurred as a more enjoyable choice to spend the time; he had nothing against music, but something about being surrounded by some of the most unruly characters he'd ever met, each of them armed with cacophonous weaponry, didn't sound smart. Once his nurse departed, the young man picked out a cozy little spot near a flood of sunshine and settled in, cradling his head in the palms of his hands. There, he stared up almost bitterly at the ceiling with sharply focused eyes, still exuding the same unapproachable sense of being as ever.

The room was warm, even a little comforting, for any of the tired, weary masses found in Landel's halls, or even those who just craved a little peace and quiet. All he could hear, from end of the room, were soft footfalls and hushed voices. That sounded just fine to the 'berry head.

Azel looked up at the other, brow furrowing at his words. "What makes you think that?" He asked; he was becoming slightly defensive. He'd seen this one with Tamaki and the others in the library. Why was it that this newcomer seemed to get along better with his friends than he himself did? Maybe that girl had been right. Maybe it would just be better to give up.

Meditation hadn't helped much this time, although he felt better physically.

Getting up from his meditation position, Qui-Gon glanced around. His Padawan still looked busy with that curious scarred patient, and, judging from his expression, wasn't enjoying himself, looking as if Jar Jar Binks had popped out of nowhere and landed in his very lap. Hiding a smile, Qui-Gon moved away, coming upon Azel and another patient.

"Mind if I take a seat here?" Qui-Gon said, smiling at Azel and his friend. "It's rather crowded, isn't it?"

Robin ruffled Azel's hair, continuing to smile. He had to keep Azel's spirits up. It didn't do any good to sit and mope about, did it?

"Back where I'm from I'm sort of famous for getting out of tricky situations," he winked. "Gimme a little more time and a couple of resources and I'll get us out."

Robin looked up at the new guy. Lots of hair. Calm sort of expression. He seemed....nice, really. Just very...nice. He'd make a good ally.

"Not at all. I'm Robin Hood, pleased to meet you," he grinned, holding out his paw hand.

Azel gave Robin a puzzled glance, but didn't say anything to the hair-ruffling. He wasn't used to people here reaching out to him like that; he didn't expect it like he once might have. He felt himself becoming more withdrawn from those around him, maybe more independent, but certainly that was coloured with a high dose of cynicism. He didn't want to be like Haren, always thinking the worst of people.

He wanted to have joy and love again.

As Qui-Gon approached, he looked up and nodded. "It's fine by me."

Qui-Gon smiled his thanks and took a seat. He nodded at the young man who'd introduced himself.

"I'm Qui-Gon Jinn," the Jedi said, accepting the offered hand and shaking it. He turned serious, glancing from Azel to Robin. One was withdrawn, something obviously on his mind. Qui-Gon found he had a bit of a harder time getting a feel through the Force on Robin though - it was almost as if he wasn't human, or at least not entirely so. It was possible, though, interspecies relations between humans and other beings was more than common in this day and age.

Projecting a sense of calm, quiet confidence through the Force for both Azel and Robin (stopping short of Force Persuasion), the Jedi Master laced his fingers together, dipping his head slightly as he looked at the two young men.

"This may be forward of me, but I was wondering if you were aware of any coordinated effort to escape?" he asked. "Seeing as I doubt any of us planned to be here, captive against our own will.

"There's certainly some interesting names around here." Robin was still smiling. It wasn't meant as an insult. Once he told himself not to be afraid, curiosity often took over.

He was happy the man brought up the subject of escape. He'd been eager to sit down and discuss such things properly. For a brief moment he wondered if it was safe to tell the guy. But...Robin liked to trust his instincts and they said 'go for it, Robbo'.
"I only arrived last night and... well, this place is far, far from home. But once I get an idea of the layout and security, I think I can give it a shot. But I haven't yet had time to hear of other plans. Do you have something in mind?"
