Day 35: Twin Pines Restaurant

(From here!)

Artemis walked into the restaurant and glanced around at the decor. He wasn't impressed, but he wasn't disdainful either. He simply smiled. It was nice... for a town with a population of barely three hundred.

The boy smiled up at the person up front. "Two, if you please."

Ah great. Kenren really needed to learn when to shut up, it seemed, but it was too late for that now. "Well, that's how children are made," he said with an amused quirk of his lips. "When two people love each other very much... or are drunk, or horny, or bored, or need a good way to kill half an hour between meetings or... well, there's lots of reasons to have sex."

Rhode let her head tilt off to the side. Children? "Ohhhhh, so it's a human thing." No wonder she didn't know then. She wouldn't have cared to know. And it wasn't something she'd heard about in human school before, this "sex". Maybe the Earl would know.

Kenren shrugged. "Humans, gods, youkai. Doesn't matter. It's something enarly everyone does. And it doesn't have to be about making children. It can just be about having fun and it feels good." He was all for pleasure after all.

She folded her arms on the table, leaning forward a bit as she kicked her legs more. "I don't." Mostly because this sex thing was new to her. "And you still haven't said what it is. Are you making things up?"

"You don't even know what sex is," Kenren pointed out. "So of course you don't do it." And she really wanted details? "Fine fine, but you probably won't like the description. Don't blame me for any trauma caused." Yes, he was stalling for time, thanks.

"Right." Well at least he got that much. Kenren wasn't as idiotic as Tyki in that respect. It took her "brother" a while to realize what she was saying sometimes and he was supposed to know her better.

She stopped her legs and gave him a bright smile. "It's not worse than death is it? How bad could it be?" No one had to worry about traumatizing the Noah of Dreams. Not now and probably not ever.

"No, it's not worse than dying," Kenren said with a laugh. "It's actually really nice, you're just a little young to be doing it, most likely." Not that he was entirely certain how old she was. Young enough to not know, obviously. He sighed, running a hand through his hair and gave her a wry smile. "But if you really want to know..." With another sigh, he began to explain, using terms as clinical as possible to avoid scandalising other customers.

Rhode made a face while he was explaining, but not for the reason that Kenren was probably hoping for. "Don't use words like that. I don't get it."
