Day 35: Wicker Street

The sound of the dog lead Sheena to a building on the corner of the street. Seeing the name of it and the animals in the windows, she giggled, imagining how if Colette was here they'd never be able to get her to leave. The sweet angel would insist on staying until she held and played with every single puppy in the plac eand given them all names.

She'd only been gone a day and already Sheena was missing the simple things she'd come to accept traveling with her companions. She put her hand to the window, smiling softly (if a little lonely) at the puppy that noticed her and started wagging tis tail and licking the glass right where her hand was.

Seiya smiled again, genuinely now. She hadn't expected the brief hug, although something about it was comforting, even from a person she'd known for such a short time. Maybe because his wish to find his friends despite the odds was so strong, a need she could sympathize with very personally. Or just because he seemed like a genuinely nice guy, and there weren't that many genuinely nice people in existence. You have a shining star inside of you too, don't you? Stepping back a bit, she opened the door for Wally, gesturing through generously.

"Good! Glad to hear it. It's either that, or you have to arm wrestle me, okay?" The fact that the two acts couldn't be more unrelated was beside the point. She flexed her free arm, though the wiry muscle wasn't very visible under the blue long-sleeved shirt. "As long as we're both talking about never giving up, let's aim for the fantastic in everything we do. First meals, then finding the way home, and then dancing. Don't think I'll forget that, either."
