Nightshift 34: East Wing, Hall A
[from here]
The first door on the left, was it? Brooklyn stepped lightly around the corner, then pressed his ear up against the door. Hearing nothing immediately within (though he lacked his more sensitive gargoyle hearing to begin with) he went for the handle.
Locked. Of course.
"Jalapeña. Stand back a moment." He looked over the door, then backed up until he was nearly at the other side of the hall before running at it with all his might. He connected at the shoulder, sending the door crashing open and himself falling through.

The gargoyle wasn't looking forward to breaking down another door, but it was probably going to be necessary. Several more times. He check the handle just to make sure, but yes. It was locked just as well as the other one. Nothing to do but repeated the breaking down process, he guessed.

Brooklyn stopped in front of the door this time, his bruised shoulder already aching at the thought of being rammed into a door again. "How about you do the honors this time," he said with a weak smile, stepping back to give L some room to work on the lock.

There didn't appear to be anyone else in the hallway but themselves, which Brooklyn was very thankful for. He supposed if something showed up they could always run back into one of the rooms they'd already opened and block a desk against the door.

"Looks like we can proceed now." He said quietly as he stepped away from the now open door so Brooklyn could check to see if the room was clear of hazards.

"Think you can work your magic again here?" Brooklyn stopped at the room across the hall - the one they'd skipped previously. The tool L was working with appeared to be half a pair of scissors. Not the most common of lockpicking tools and not exactly built for it. It would be a shame of they snapped in the middle of the process. He supposed it'd be on to kicking, then.
