"There's... people fighting in the back two field of the institute," Alice answered Bella, looking perplexed for a moment. "Or there will be. Or both. It's not very clear at the moment. It keeps changing, so I'm not sure which is which. Either way, I don't think we want to head that direction, so the front door seems the clearest route at the moment."
Focusing on her brother and Bella once more, she hopped off the edge of the desk with a patient look. "Who warned about who? Is this the brainwashing you mentioned earlier?" She'd wanted to ask him about that, but there hadn't been time. She'd seek him out sometime tomorrow. They needed to talk.
Alice was unarmed, but she didn't mind, she'd make due for the time being, or at least be careful. Though she would have to remember not to rely on her sight to warn her if something was coming. If she couldn't see the monsters before they attacked, just as Edward couldn't hear them, that would be problematic.
"I can see some of the layout, enough to lead, I think. I want to test the limitations they've placed on me, with what I can and can't see." Besides, she was fairly certain Edward would want to stick close to Bella.
