As Sora had waited for his nighttime companion to show up, he had watched quite a few patients pass through, and one had gone by much faster than should have been humanly possible, casting his flashlight around all over the place as he'd rushed by. Sora hadn't expected someone to still have that kind of power here, but maybe it was the man's only skill.
In any case, it had made waiting a little more interesting, though it wasn't too long before the boy had his attention drawn to an approaching, dimmed light, and heard a familiar voice.
"Kaiji," he greeted with a smile, pressing off the wall to meet the man. "I'm glad you could find it okay!" He hoped the man hadn't come across any monster attacks on the way here, though he looked to be doing a lot better than this morning, so Sora was guessing he hadn't.
Something was wrong, though, and as Sora drew closer, he noticed it. "What happened?" he asked, pointing out the bruise on the other's face.
