It was probably the first morning so far that Willow woke up in that bed and actually treated the sudden transition like it was normal, getting up right away to go to breakfast. She'd never truly get used to the mental jolt, but at least she wasn't lying there for a good few minutes wondering what was going on before the nurse came in.
Willow wasted no time as soon as she stepped into the cafeteria looking for Hokuto. She'd never forgive herself if she didn't at least make sure her friend was okay, even if they only talked for a few minutes. Once again, the nurse was picking out food for her, and left only when she made sure Willow would actually eat it.
Willow's heart sank when she finally noticed Hokuto sitting by herself, looking decidedly worse than the day before. She paused at the chair across the table from her, smiling in what she hoped was a comforting way. "Hey. Do you mind if I sit with you?"
